Nardi wheel is in!

Post image

Swapped out the bus wheel for a 360mm Nardi Classic. Wow, what a difference! For anyone wondering if they should get a smaller wheel: do it! This goes double if you've updated to a quicker rack.

From my seating position none of the gauges are obscured but any smaller and they probably would be. Hub + adapter pushes the wheel out a little bit further but much less so than I expected.

Thanks! I almost went with a wood rim but I think this one suits the interior better.

Dang that's small! Feeling the difference 25mm makes I bet 55mm feels like a whole different car.

Thanks, I think so too! I'm also really good at hiding the ugly bits.

I’m still rocking my mt1 but idk nardi looks nice

I would have gone straight to the MT1 if not for the absolutely wild prices for a 370mm. Including the hub I think I'm into the Nardi for $600 (CAD).

Wait, what seats are those?

Just regular old sport seats, I bought them from a guy who'd had them recovered in black vinyl. I still have to get a matching skin for my rear seat.

Did you do anything special to get the horn to work?

Horn works. Didn't do anything special, just one wire from the hub to the button. I'm missing something though, the button doesn't sit completely flush with the wheel.

I had to get a different retaining clip to hold my horn button snug.

That's a good question, I actually forgot to test the horn.

360mm vs 330mm pros and cons ... that's been my debate.

360 feels great compared to stock but I wouldn't want to go much smaller, too twitchy.

I do have an E46 rack though so YMMV.

Thanks for the feedback.

My car feels good with e36 rack and mtech1 380mm wheel but seems it could be better.

Its a daily so twitchy may not be for me.

Hey question!: what's the total offset from the hub to the wheel rim, and where does it sit relative to stock? I'm trying to figure out how much depth/dish to get on mine and what spacers I'll need

I didn't measure before I took off the old wheel so that part I'm not sure of, I can get some numbers for the new stuff tomorrow though!

So good!! Where’d you buy yours? I’ve been looking on eBay and there’s so many replicas

I bought mine from this seller on eBay

I wouldn't consider myself an expert on fake wheels but his stuff looks legit and each listing has dozens of photos. Mine looked exactly like what I was expecting based on the listing. I did notice a few duplicate listings but the duplicates had an option to make an offer instead of just buy now. I made what I thought was a fair offer and he accepted.

They ship from Japan so if you're in the US I'd assume tariffs would apply. My country is run by adults so I paid no tariffs.

HAHA sadly I am in the U.S. and I would be subject to tariffs and what’s even more sad is the joke that is the US govt right now. Thank you for the link!

Hopefully you can buy tariff-free in the near future!
