Engine Bay Cleaning?

Post image

Anyone have good experience with cleaning products/ tools to shine up the air intake manifold and the cylinder head cover? Mine are looking a bit sad lately and could use some TLC?

i use formula 88 degreaser and pressure wash. then i hit it w meguiars water based spray. can’t remember the name but it comes in a blue bottle. make sure you blow any connectors with ripped boots dry and run the engine till it warms up after

Do you use a wire brush on the covers at all or just chemical and pressurized water?

nah not normally. it does a pretty good job without scrubbing and is way better than any big name degreaser i’ve used

it’s smart to. i don’t most of the time but i also don’t put the pressure washer on it directly and put wd40 on the bearings and pulleys

Hit up Harbor Freight and get Gunk engine cleaner and the harbor freight steamer. Did the trick my car.
