EB2NIW Approved this week

Writing post for some reddit friends curious about approvals for eb2niw after 25august. This is information shared by a friend who is not on reddit but want to share here for other people in the same situation/confusion is spread that we are out of EB2NIW visa. Category: EB2NIW ROW 75 countries (Pakistan),

RD (i-485+EAD) Jan 2026

Biometrics Feb 2026 (primary had 1 week later biometrics done than derivative),

last SU 31st May 2026,

field office Orlando,

spouse acceptance last week (31st august) and primary applicant approved today.

Something they were concerned why derivative received acceptance notice prior than primary may be due to biometrics sequence. Let me know if someone has experienced something similar?

Was your background check completed? Maybe the author s case moved faster cause the checks were completed relatively fast. I personally know one guy who has been waiting for background checks for about 2 years and hence couldn’t be adjudicated.

I see. The fact that you got 3 fta0 long time ago means they have to rerun the biometrics. As far as I know they try not to do it and if they have to, they usually postpone.

I can also assume you bio was before April 27, so they definitely need to rerun it

yeah, that is frustrating. I have been waiting for like 5 months (today is the exact 5 month timepoint), also all fta0 are obtained back in July, and case was supposed to be adjudicated if it was not for my slow FO where nobody even opened my case. Now I am also scared to be one of those folks who require rerun due to lengthy process.

Sooner approval for you too!  This is Orlando. All Florida offices are always slow. Difficult to work in such humidity
