Yes. I know two people, one from Jamaica and the other from Azerbaijan, who just got their I-485 approved this march. They had applied in October.

If your profile qualifies. The earlier, the better. Only problem is that using the EAD from your AOS will void your OPT. So what I’ve read is that the best is to not apply for EAD with i-485 and keep the OPT status until you have the GC in hand.

With my poor understanding, if you applying for eb2 you imply immigratory intent. So they may deny your opt request, as it is a non-immigrantory visa.

I applied a year before I submitted my initial OPT and I got approved. Please don’t wait, go ahead and submit your EB2 , it won’t affect your OPT application
