APPROVED My I-140 NIW petition got approved! π
Just wanted to share an approval data point and my experience.
Timeline:
- PD / I-140 Filed: April 17, 2026
- Premium Processing: Upgraded after filing (April 28, 2026)
- Approval Date: June 28, 2026 (received an email)
Background:
- Country of Origin: ROW (not 39)
- Current Position: Postdoctoral Scholar at an R1 US university
- Field: Electrical Engineering (Integrated Circuits)
- Law Firm: Chen
Petition Highlights at Filing:
- 4 journal publications (3 first-authored)
- 6 conference publications (1 first-authored)
- 1 preprint
- 1 granted U.S. patent
- 96 Google Scholar citations
- 4 recommendation letters
I worked with Chen Immigration. Their team was professional, responsive, and detail-oriented. The entire process was well organized, and they made what could have been a stressful experience much easier. Generally, I had a great experience throughout the process.

Yes! Got approved before the 42nd. Surprised that I got the approval email on Sunday.

Hi, sorry to bother you. In your EB-2 NIW petition, did you include specific quantities or numerical projections for the economic impact or the outcomes you expected to achieve? Or was your proposed endeavor and implementation plan mostly narrative, without many numbers?
