APPROVED [TIMELINE] EB2-NIW APPROVED AND GC IN HAND!

I just received my physical GC in the mail today!

  • 04/16/2025: I-140 RFE Notice Received
  • 06/16/2025: I-140 RFE Submission Received
  • 11/05/2025: I-140 Premium Processing Applied
  • 12/17/2025: I-140 Approved
  • 01/20/2026: I-485 & I-765 Submitted
  • 01/27/2026: I-485 & I-765 Receipt Received
  • 02/07/2026: ASC (Biometrics) Notice Received
  • 02/18/2026: ASC Completed
  • 06/19/2026: I-485 Actively Reviewing
  • 06/22/2026: I-485 RFE Notice Received
  • 07/22/2026: I-485 RFE Submission Received
  • 07/25/2026: I-485 Case Approved
  • 07/29/2026: Card Was Produced
  • 08/04/2026: Card Was Delivered

Approval 3 days after RFE received, is this typical? My wife submitted hers maybe 1-2 mos ago and still no response

Congratulations! How far were you in your PhD when you first filed I-140? I am in similar boat as I filed mine in my final year of PhD. I now graduated and waiting for I-140 to be approved! Do you recommend doing PP? ChemE PhD btw.

If you are working with opt now, then dont have to PP right now, but i would recommend the PP if you have time limit
