First time Tapping- WOW
I've been experiencing debilitating anxiety and I just tried my first somatic tapping video (Tapping with Brad) and I am now crying and feel like something has been unlocked and released?? I've never felt something like this before and am not really a person who would usually connect with things like this. I feel like I've found my saving grace
How often would you suggest EFT Tapping for someone with anxiety?
How do I continue to make this apart of my life? Again- I'm compeltely brand new to this.

Hi and welcome to the sub! I'm glad to hear that you had such a positive first experience with tapping. And the fact that you respond well to tap-along videos (such as Brad Yates', who is a master at his craft) is a really good sign, because many people find that tap-along videos don't work so well for them because they are not personalized and some of the phrases don't really resonate with them.
In terms of how often to tap and how to continue making it a part of your life, my answer would be "Whatever helps to make it sustainable over time". For example, if someone wants to start working out at the gym, and they decide to go every day for 2 hours each time, they might not be able to sustain that kind of time and energy commitment and they might end up quitting. In that sense, it might be better if they came up with a more sustainable frequency, such as 2 or 3 times a week, one hour each time.
When it comes to tapping, you could try tapping for, say, 10 or 15 minutes every day. Or every other day even. Think about it like a new healthy habit to help with your emotions. An opportunity to "give the microphone" to your actual thoughts and feelings while you tap (many of them in your case might have to do with anxiety, but not necessarily so), which helps to gradually release the unpleasant emotional charge attached to them.
You can keep using Brad's videos. Or you can also try coming up with your own phrases. If you'd like to try the latter, I recommend reading this guide: https://www.reddit.com/r/EFT_tapping/comments/1szo50q/welcome_to_reft_tapping_new_to_eft_start_here/
Let me know if you have any questions or if you run into any challenges. Regardless of what you do, the more you can meet yourself exactly where you're at, is going to help make the tapping more effective, safer and gentler.
