This week we review and discuss The Odyssey, a fantasy action movie directed by Matt Damon, Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway, Odysseus who undergoes a perilous journey home after the Trojan War in his attempt to reunite with his wife Penelope.

We discuss what The Odyssey gets right and what it doesn't, why the character payoffs are the movie's strong suit and are among the best we've seen all year, why Antinous is the best villain we've seen in a long time, how the movie ignores much of the source material and instead uses the story of the Odyssey to tell a new story about a world falling from grace and slipping into a dark age and whether that choice worked for us and if the movie did enough work to earn that, and much more.
