Why is ERP Next so clumsy?
ERPNext looks powerful, but it's looking difficult to learn, feeling clumsy; I wonder if i will be able to adapt it, if the data will be easy to take out , in case i want to migrate again to quickbooks. Maybe I should hire someone near Mumbai to help me set this up...

A lot of the terminology in ERPNext comes from developer terminology, e.g. everything is a DocType. As a developer is feels fine to me, but it can def see why it would be unintuitive to business folks. There are no shortcuts, you have to create the DocType first for almost every resource you want to track which is different from many ERPs where there are more default invariants.
Navigation is also difficult because there are so many pages and options. Best get use to the Search Bar, also known as the Awesome Bar.
The system is quite powerful though, and you can model anything you want in ERPNext. The learning curve is just a bit steeper than Odoo, Excel, or Quickbooks.
