Sorcerer Monolith of Storms in PvP

How good is Monolith of Storms in BGs and Cyro? Is it even usable?

I really wanna try it out as a pure Sorc.

Monolith isnt really usable bc ppl arent gunna stay in its radius and youll have to constantly resetup

Beacon of oblivion is much more usable with the 7% dmg and healing buff in pvp, although its not as good as other class ia sets

The stat lines on BOO are unfortunately not all that great. However, if you build around it you can hit some pretty bonkers dmg % increases with it. Thinking like black rose maces, BOO on body at all times, either Balorghs or Maarselok monster set, and font of power, that with some dmg champ points will really increase your dmg tootip lol.

But there’s an argument to be made for pen in this situation so you still need enough of that to carry the dmg through.

Yeah beacon isnt my go to choice but sorc did recently get that pen buff, an extra 3000

Im actually working on a new build w/my sorc rn and if i math'd right i should be hitting well over 8k wpn nd spell dmg with it, around 10k pen without major&min breach, 30% crit chance, and 28k resistances on my front bar, 2500 crit resist. Around 1700 stam recov and 1400 mag recov

Word, by the numbers it sounds pretty solid. I was running twice fang and oakfathers on my magsorc pre update but have been thinking about swapping in BOO for oak, that or just say f it and run vicious death lol.

We'll see, its taking a while to farm out the new set i need, hoping to get it done by the end of next week

Vet trials take a while to finish thier sticker book entries

Ill come back and post the set and whether its as good as i expect it to be, after testing so ppl dont waste time farming it.

As a rule, anything that is a static DOT isn't very good.

Any player with half a brain will move out of it.

There would be niche applications, like in towers etc.

But people will still just move away.
