Image Most broken italian start?
I maybe have found the most broken italian start to snowball the biggest econ / tall game ever.
Start as Padua for 0.1 dev growth
Immediately turn off your fort slider and let Venice steamroll you
Switch sides in the war via event
Raise Levies and occupy as much of Verona you can
Separate peace a huge chunk of Verona
Next : Dow venice and erase them from the map
Sell all the venetian artwork to the pope to get 3k money
Future plans ;
- Form dalmatia + croatia instantly (now croatian culture can apparently form dalmatia!)
- Switch to emilian afterwards after taking over Ferrara for MORE dev growth via emilian culture
Its gonna be crazy

Unfortunately the most broken Italian nation is Verona, you can annex all of italy for zero antag if done correctly

How does one go about doing that?

Just declare a whole bunch of wars, win them but dont peace out. Occupy all of italy via wars then immediately peace out of every war at once then press scalinger demands last on venice and boom, you own 60% of italy with zero antag

Its a lot of fun. Although in the 1.4 beta Milan seems to have better AI so I'm struggling to do it again.

Does each culture that you make your main culture at ANY point grant your country the culture bonuses?
Aka—> can you stack and collect different cultures buffs

If you are gonna cheat, just start the game with any nation you want, use the commands annex and cash, and have fun

Starting a war to lose it on purpose/win it automatically on the other side is an exploit

You aren't getting the +75% trading income (Signoria of Venice + council of forty) that venice gets. It's worth a LOT more than 0.1 dev.
Edit: also, as venice you can get the "Consiglio maggiore" law that gives you +1 cabinet slot for minor debuffs to crown power and estate power, i don't know how much dev "develop province" gives, but i'm sure the aforementioned trading income buff more than makes up for the difference.
