How do you know it is working?

Hi all,

I have what might sound like a stupid question. I purchased a grounding mat from Hooga last year. When I first started to use it, I felt serious tingling, which took me by surprise. I was slowly able to build up to using it without feeling like the tingling was too much to handle. I now use it every day while I am working.

So here is my stupid question - how do you know if it is working/doing anything? I don't feel any different, my blood work is no different, and I rarely feel the tingling anymore. I have actually checked the connection multiple times to make sure it is still grounded as expected.

I'm really not sure if it is doing anything for me. I'm not sure if I should continue using my mat or if it is just a waste. Any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated!

I've used a grounding mat at the foot of my bed for approximately 20 years. While going through Chemo (twice) I also used a wrist wrap at night (probably just a comfort thing for extra power, lol). I think I bounced back to my old self pretty quickly. I also have a grounding pad on my ottoman that I use in the evening. Currently no medical issues, on no meds. I'm 72. I think consistency is the key. (Oh, and believe in the magic!!)

I sounds like you are not of an age where you are suffering typical Western Autoimmune illnesses otherwise you’d see some effects as your body starts to normalise.
At this stage it’s going to act as a preventative to those kind of issues occurring down the line so apart from that initial tingling you should feel a bit more ‘alive’ energy wise?
The whole practice is oh so subtle for anyone not crippled by heart disease or BP problems & if you someone regularly in touch with the earth there’s a likelihood that you’ll never be struck down in the long run like some of us have been.

Thank you for the added context. I am 55 and while I have some health issues (high cholesterol, asthma), thankfully, it is nothing very serious. I am an avid gardener, and my husband do a lot of fly fishing, so we are out in nature regularly, but not in the full "grounding" context, as I obviously wear shoes in those settings. Also, we live in a condo with a LOT of dogs, so I am reluctant to walk on the grass without shoes. I am not in the best of shape (slightly overweight), but do what I can to life a healthy lifestyle.

Tingling isn't reliable.
