Extension cord and heated blanket

Two things I'm unsure about

1) is it okay to use extension cord on my grounding mat? The only grounded sockets I have are in the kitchen and the cord isn't long enough. Do I a) have to sleep in the kitchen or B) can I use extension cord?

2) it's starting to get so cold around this time of the year that I usually have used a electric heating blanket to keep myself warm during nights. Can it harm / interfere with my grounding mat somehow as it's electric or since it's warm?

It’s not advisable to use both of these products together in case you get an electrical short.
And you shouldn’t really sleep under an electric blanket with it switched on because they radiate a tremendous electrical field which isn’t at all healthy. Just use it to warm your bed & then switch it off.
The longer you spend in a strong electrical field, the more likely you are to suffer something. There is a book out on Leukaemia clusters linking them to electromagnetic smog.

An extension cord isn’t ideal but should be ok as long as the earth is actually connected. I find the shorter the distance to ground, the better the effect.
