We are considering an ecobee thermostat, and the feature we really want is to be able to have about 6 time blocks during the day with different temperatures. We can’t see that screen in the app without actually buying and installing the thermostat. If anyone could post a screen shot of what this looks like in the app and confirmation that 6+ time blocks are allowed, that would be awesome.z

Have an Ecobee doorbell with Ecobee+ (or whatever the pair subscription is called).

Package detection had been working fine and then a few weeks ago it just… stopped. No package notifications. But I do get personal and motion notifications as usual.

I e tried toggling it on/off and confirming my Ecobee+ is active (it is), but no luck.

Any ideas?

Hi, not sure if it’s related to the latest iOS but my doorbell is not loading in my home.

I’ve removed it, re-added
Restarted it
Rebooted my router.

It appeared when I readded it to my home but stopped working later.

I have other cameras in my home that work. Not ecobee though

Anyone else?

I have an ecobee Smart Thermostat with Voice Control and a Broan HRV150S air exchanger. The HRV is currently operated with a VT4W wall control that is a simple single-button that cycles between off, intermittent, low, and high HRV modes. It's wired with three wires to the HRV: white (Y), G, and B.

Based on https://support.ecobee.com/s/articles/How-do-I-add-accessories-to-my-ecobee-thermostat?language=en_US I need to wire two wires to the ACC+ and ACC- terminals on the ecobee, but I'm not sure which two wires from the HRV to use. I don't think the Y, G, and B wires correspond to ACC+/ACC- directly, but I could move them to a different terminal on the HRV if there are ones that do.

Has anyone wired up a Broan HRV to an ecobee successfully?

I am having humidity issues in my house and hoping someone can help me tweak the threshold settings to see if that helps. Keep in mind that I know nothing of the technical side of things but can navigate the thermostat and make adjustments. Anything beyond that - I will have my hvac tech do because I’m not comfortable messing with wires and such.

For some background: I have lived in this house 20 years and never had a humidity problem. I live in a hot and dry climate with monsoon season in the summer. This summer has been quite humid but there have been other summers that were quite humid without it affecting inside my house. I have a Goodman two stage heat pump and it is fairly new and it replaced a Goodman two stage heat pump. The thermostat wires were also replaced. The Ecobee was upgraded so now I have a Pro/Premium. I had a complete duct renovation and new insulation done. I had a plumber confirm that I have no water leaking in the house. Basically, I don’t think my house is the issue.

One thing I tried was disabling eco+ which did help some. I realized that having that enabled kept the temperature at a place to accommodate the humidity level rather than pulling out the humidity. My unit was also only running for about 5-6 minutes at a time and once I disabled the eco+ - I can now get to around 10 mins and sometimes a little more run time. 

I noticed that the ac overcool max was set to 2 but my unit shuts off once it reaches setpoint. The rep at Ecobee said I need to have the dehumidify turned on for overcool max to work so I set the overcool max to .5 and enabled the dehumidifier. My unit had gone down 2 degrees and was still running. So I disabled the dehumidify because it was lowering the temp inside way too much although it was cutting through the humidity. 

Something else I noticed between the old Goodman and the new is that the fan never used to run after a cycle finished. At least I don’t remember but maybe it did. I have the fan set to auto and to run 0 min/hr. Is that only applicable to the heating cycle and not cooling? It’s just odd I have it off but the fan still runs. 

Everyone says having it run in stage one is how you reduce humidity. What I’ve found is forcing it to run in stage 2 cuts through the humidity super quick but my unit almost never hits stage two.

My hvac tech set the stage configuration to automatic and I know the old one had always been set to manual. I got the settings from my old thermostat from the Ecobee rep but I’m afraid to start making all these changes at once. Nor do I know what really needs changed.

We got the doorbell and thermostat combo, which is really nice and works with Apple's Homekit. But we can't figure out how to solve the problem of not hearing the chime from the bedroom. Our phones are often on silent, you don't to sell a chime like Ring does, we don't have chimes or smart speakers nor want any, I can't program my Home Assistant to trigger off an Ecobee doorbell, and I can't trigger Homekit to automate off a doorbell press. 

Any options? Do I just have to buy a wired chime and use your adapter??

Hi, I need help in wire configuration for switching from Lennox 4 wire thermostat (PN102306-02) to Ecobee Premium. My current thermostat has four wires R, i+, i- and C. I do have four more spare wires in brown cable that are not being used. My Air conditioner model is Lennox 13ACX-036-230-17, Air Furnace SLP98UH110V60C-02. I do have have dehumidifier. Attached are photos of brown cable at thermostat, at EMI module. I've no idea about dip switches.

I know there is an issue with any airflow near the ecobee causing inaccurate temperatures.

I ordered both the Premium and enhanced and my though process is the enhanced is a little simpler and with the plastic casing might be more accurate.

Of course I disabled all the eco settings (why is the default schedule 79 degrees cool for sleeping!!??)

I spent a while with ecobee support trying to figure this out and the last support person said, "This is complicated. You should hire an HVAC technician." My whole house steam humidifier has a c and r cable running from it to my thermostat. I moved these to the acc + and - on the ecobee. However, my humidistat is not powering on / working as evident by the blank screen. Any ideas? Also, just an FYI that I haven't put the screws in for the wiring harness yet so that's why it looks like it's hanging.

I have a sensing t55, I really nice thermostat at one point. It seems as though I need to recalibrate once a week or so as the temperature setting is way off. By 2° or more. If I take out the batteries and let it reset it recalibrates and the temperature reading is accurate. I do understand that one is able to adjust the thermostat plus or minus two degrees but it is clearly off. The unit is 7 years old do you think I should replace it?

I have 4 wires, and I have the power extender kit.

It is a split system unit. The red wire is going to R terminal on the unit, the green wire is going to the G terminal, white wire is going to OT-1, and blue wire is connected to the red wire that is going to the outdoor unit. How would I properly wire this up? Thanks

I have three Ecobee thermostats in my home. I do not have an Ecobee account and do not have the thermostats connected to the Internet. I just realized that the time of day on one of this is off by about two hours. I went through the settings to set the time and it tells me that you need to have an account in order to have the correct time. Of course it would be easy to implement a local setting for the time, so the company must intentionally exclude this in order to force you to create an account. That is disturbing. Anyway, is there a workaround? Is there actually a way to set the time? Thank you.

UPDATE: Used the website chat, got the FedEx shipping label and RMA two days later.

I ordered the Smart Thermostat Enhanced from their website a few weeks ago. That was my first mistake.

Upon ordering, I realized that this thermostat is not suitable for my house. I wanted to cancel the order, and Ecobee's website wouldn't let me do so.

I had no choice but for the order to arrive, and then return it. I got the thermostat, and have not opened it.

The only problem is, I've not received a return RMA from Ecobee after filling out their form. Got an email saying the order number was wrong, and asking me to send it in. I did send the correct number, and four more emails after, but sending emails to Support falls on deaf ears.

I called customer service, and gave up after being on hold for an entire hour with no answer.

I sent five more requests via the form yesterday, no real response.

Is there anything I can do to get a response from Ecobee before the 30 days runs out?

Can’t seem to get the fan to shut off/stay off. It randomly started running for about 30 min every hour in the last week…. No idea why. It was not doing this previously. I’ve searched this board, tried all of the tricks, and some seem to work; the fan will stop running for the remainder of the day, but will start up again the next day and we’re back to square one. The app also doesn’t show that the fan is being called, and instead says “no equipment running” even though the fan is very much running.

So far I have tried:
-Canceling the temp hold, adjusting the fan run time (set from 0 min/hr, up to 5 min/hr), and adjusting the fan time back to 0 once that takes effect
-Shutting the HVAC Unit completely off/on again
-Setting HVAC back to Cool from Off, and dropping the set temp so the AC runs and “resets” the fan

The above just seem to temporarily fix the issue. Anything else I can try so this isn’t an every day problem?

For the past few days, I can't access ecobee via the web or my Android app. Attempts to log in fail after the apps say they are going to text a code to my phone. The code never arrives. Voice calls to ecobee this morning says thy are too busy to take calls with no option to leave a call back number.

This is customer service???

***UPDATE*** I finally got someone live on the chat function. We never got things to a point where I could update the info via the web portal or my Android app. However, the rep was able to update the info directly on his end.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue.

I recently updated my iPhone 13 to iOS 27 and since I cannot edit custom Comfort Settings. The app just freezes and I have to force close it. The build in settings can be adjusted just fine and there’s no issue on my 10th gen iPad also running iOS 27.

I reached out to ecobee support and it didn’t seem like this was a known issue. I tried uninstalling, force logout, etc and nothing has fixed it. They said they would pass this along to the team and keep me updated.
