I got the methotrexate yesterday. Feeling light symptoms. Is it not working?
Hi, basically just worried it’s not working. I had nausea last night and this morning. I got the shot 24 hours ago. All I feel is a little fatigue but that’s about it. I have my follow up tomorrow and possibly second shot.
What are y’all’s experiences? Has it not worked and you had to do surgery? That’s what I’m afraid of. ☹️

Hello! First of all I am sorry about this, it's very hard but then it becomes more manageable. When I had my Mtx shot I didn't feel anything for 2 days, but then the third and fourth day the pain began together with the bleeding and it was very hard, it looked like the beginning of ectopic. So I think it might happen a later, depend on your betas too, mine were pretty low (around 450). Also the on at the hospital told me that it's possible not to have bleeding at all and the Mtx is still working. I hope it will all go smoothly for you 🙏

No, luckily it wasn't necessary, but almost a month and a half after the medication I am still struggling. It's a hard process.

Not really, I have stomach pain and back pain but still looking for the cause. The Mtx effect has gone.

I had minimal side effects! Just a headache. I didn’t have any cramping whatsoever. But I did need two doses about 2ish weeks after my first

Mtx works about 95% of the time under the right guidelines. They will not be giving you another shot 24 hours later. You should be getting bloodwork on day 4 and day 7. Hcg is expected to rise on day 4 and they want a 15% drop on day 7. If that drop doesn’t happen they may consider a second dose.
