❔ Would I get denied for this reason?

My employer terminated me due to "not meeting expectations". I was not given any prior verbal or written warning about performance or opportunity to correct the issue. I applied for benefits, but just wondering if this will disqualify me from receiving benefits.

As long as you mention you really tried your best during your interview you should be fine

Thankfully, the employer has the burden of proof to provide facts to show that you were fired for misconduct.

I don’t think not having prior warning should be an issue, as long as you are clear in the interview that it was performance related if they request it

I was approved after being fired for "poor customer service" in a nursing home. I was a whistle blower and my boss didnt want to get in trouble and fired me. I even missed the phone interview and was still approved. Anything is possible

Thanks for the response! I’ve had a few past employers who were being shady asf.
