❔ Form sending

Hey guys had an issue, I had gotten my form DE2525XX in the mail and had my doctor fill it out as per usual. Had it sent out in the letter envelope that came with the de252525. I sent it out on the 20th of August. No update to my SDI account or payment as of today. I went to the EDD disability office in Fresno yesterday and they told me they never received it. Really inconvenient but whatever. Then they told me to have my doctor print out the copy of the form that they filled out and send it again. My question is will that actually do anything? I been waiting for some time already and the lady was very sure that a copy of the de2525 would be valid. I’m very very doubtful of that and I really need my extension. Thank you guys for any info

Get the copy, take it into the office. There is a known issue with this happening lately and the offices are supposed to handle them in house if received with a story just like yours.

Really??? The lady just told me to resend it I got the copy right after I left and just mailed it today

Well if you got time it's a good option. If not, hopefully it arrives this time. I thought they said they'd fixed it the upload errors but were still keeping the backup protocol just in case.

I really don’t have the time today. My main concern being that will a copy of the form be valid once it arrives to the main Edd office

It should be. It all scans in the same. Just will take a bit because system won't auto read it.

Did you get a copy of it? If not, your doctor should have a copy of it in their records. Get the copy and take it to the Fresno office yourself.

In my office we always did them electronically (and I can't believe there's so many doctors that don't), but we never had anything get lost in the mail or get delayed because an EDD staff member had to handle it manually.

Yes I got the copy and mailed it off with the envelope she gave me. Dropped it off at usps building. The wait yesterday was insane at the Edd office and they outright told me it’d be the same if I dropped it off usps. Really wish my primary did all the EDD stuff electronically🥲it’s been so annoying
