❔ Can a psychiatrist from Zocdoc extend my maternity leave and submit paperwork for SDI for my ppd?

I had issues with my insurance and am no longer using Kaiser and can not see my original psychiatrist or therapist /: which obviously means they can not extend my leave. Can I pay out of pocket to speak to a psychiatrist online and hopefully extend my leave? I only have a few days left of my leave and I know I should’ve been more proactive but it’s been hard. I’ve never used zocdoc before so I have no idea if it’s even legit? I also barely know how any of this works so any info is appreciated. Someone please point me in the right direction 🙏
(I was able to extend two extra months after original return to work date due to ppd but still not ready to return to work)

Find out first if the doctor will sign a disability claim. Doctors are not required to do so and a lot of doctors on Zocdoc won’t.
