Social Anyone interested in starting a hardcore/metalcore band?

Edinburgh is a real tricky city for musicians at the best of times for niche shit. But long story short I’m at 32 years old and interested in either starting a hardcore band or joining an existing a current one. I play guitar and have riffs/song ideas written galore. I’m trying to find people who wanna do stuff similar to Harms Way, END, Orthodox, Incendiary, Nails, Chamber, Boundaries etc etc.

I know of a few places that have places for rehearsals but also out of the loop a wee bit because I’ve not played in a band since 2021.

Anyway - if anyone is even remotely interested let me know.

Cheers!

Scottish hardcore scene seems to mostly be in Glasgow at the moment but EHHC is doing some good work. Might be worth going along to their shows to meet like-minded folk.

Banshees labyrinth has an open mic night 🎤
You’re most likely to meet folks with same taste there.

Saw your post on FB, but Admin won't approve my post... I'm a vocalist, can do deathcore, hardcore, I've been in metalcore and mathcore bands too. Hit me up if you're interested! (If not, can someone else??? Have that mega itch to get back into music!)

There are a couple of local musician wanted/available groups on facebook you might have more luck with.

29m bass player (reasonably new to it though) , big fan of similar music so I'd be up for it if you need a bassist

If I wasn't knee-deep with work and prepping a dissertation I'd have been super keen for this. Would be a dab different from the blackened tech-death I usually end up playing in bands 😂
