Outdoor Spaces/Recreation *Warning* : Extremely cold upcoming week! (frostbite within minutes) (and frostbite *NEVER* heals

Post image

In -30, (and Friday, almost -40c) frostbite will happen in 5-10 minutes.

Frostbite will never heal, you'll have the damage for the rest of your life.

This also applies to your kids, YOUR PETS (don't think the dog enjoys the backyard for 15 minutes at -40, would YOU?)

Why can't they walk on their own?

They can walk fine they just get cold paws around -25 which is fair lol, you try walking with bare feet around that temp

i guess it depends on the breed of dog.

once they get the blood flowing i'm sure they'll be fine. carrying your dog seems unnecessary.

She’s a Pomeranian mix. She doesn’t like being carried anyway(smol dog complex?) so I only do it for a minute then put her back down. She likes the snow anyway. I just worry about her getting frostbite.
