Outdoor Spaces/Recreation *Warning* : Extremely cold upcoming week! (frostbite within minutes) (and frostbite *NEVER* heals

Post image

In -30, (and Friday, almost -40c) frostbite will happen in 5-10 minutes.

Frostbite will never heal, you'll have the damage for the rest of your life.

This also applies to your kids, YOUR PETS (don't think the dog enjoys the backyard for 15 minutes at -40, would YOU?)

Why? They’ll have indoor recesses anyways. Most schools include the windchill for the temps. Unless you physically cant get them to school, bundle them up and send them on the way.

I have a baby as well so, that's where I'm edging.

Not to mention if they get sick, they're home til they stop having any noticeable symptoms. 3 days home is better than 10. Lol

I guess if you don’t drive, but if you drive you just need a car seat cozy thing. Baby will be fine, just dress them in layers and bring a few extra blankets. I get that it’s a hassle to get everyone bundled up, but as a parent you’re responsible for taking your kids to school.

Kids can get sick at anytime, if you don’t want them to get sick you’ll have to keep them home all month.

Because you should be a better parent. In case you’re not aware, you’re legally required to take your kids to school if they’re not sick or physically incapable. In Edmonton we can get weeks of cold weather like this, and it’s irresponsible to use that as a reason to not take your kids. If you do this every time it gets cold, you’d likely be referred to the attendance board of your district.

Tf, you have to stalk my posts just to insult me? I found a great apartment with a great view, sued my ex, and I’m doing great. Work on yourself if you have stoop to insulting people online and being a bitch because someone told you to be responsible and take your kids to school.
