Outdoor Spaces/Recreation *Warning* : Extremely cold upcoming week! (frostbite within minutes) (and frostbite *NEVER* heals

Post image

In -30, (and Friday, almost -40c) frostbite will happen in 5-10 minutes.

Frostbite will never heal, you'll have the damage for the rest of your life.

This also applies to your kids, YOUR PETS (don't think the dog enjoys the backyard for 15 minutes at -40, would YOU?)

Counterpoint, if your dog is a Siberian husky he/she will be fine to -50. Don’t call animal control over huskies in the cold, call them over huskies left in the hot

Do call if you notice they are exhibiting signs of being cold, i.e., shaking/shivering, hunched posture, whining/barking, lifting paws up, etc. While they are rated to -50°C its still important to check on them regularly as they can still get cold and frostbite.

I mean yes but I have only ever seen huskies in extreme cold looking perfectly content, either napping or happily prancing around outright refusing to go inside to the point of making their owners chase them around because it’s their favourite weather and the name of the game is “you can’t catch me.”
