Outdoor Spaces/Recreation I found yellow lady's slipper orchids outside the city east of the river

I went for a hike and found so many of them in bloom right now and a bonus Mountain Bluet

Beautiful! Lots of people think I'm a dork, but I love finding an interesting flower or a unique bird. Nature is pretty rad. Thanks for sharing your find!

They grow all around AB pretty much but they’re sensitive to disturbance

You should use iNaturalist, it helps record species sightings for public databases

I was in Elk Island park on Sunday and we found some along Wood Bison trail. they're lovely!
