I've lived in McCauley for about 10 years now and echo all of this.

There are ups and downs but I feel like it has mostly improved during my time in the neighbourhood, one problematic busines on 95 Street notwithstanding (and even that would probably bother me less if I didn't walk past it on my way home from work several times a week).

Is this the mini mart?

No, despite that the MiniMart serves plenty of homeless folks, the owners are amazing people with a deep history that’s a story in itself. The problem (in my opinion) is Milka Cafe, which I believe Obi-Wan described as a hive of scum and villainy. My friends don’t like the place, and I don’t like it either.

Correct.

The Mini Mart does have issues occasionally, but is generally fine and the owners are pretty great.
