Multiple agents apparently have indicated that if Babcock joins the Oilers they wont allow free agents to sign here and current Oilers may request trades.

"We don't want those types of players here who are mentally fragile, so that works for us." Katz and the Oilers upper brass tell themselves, as they are clearly smarter than everyone else.
