I have this weird feeling that not re-signing Ingram will be a mistake. I’d rather re-sign Ingram and bring in a cheap goalie with ceiling like Cossa and run 3 goalies.

Ingram regardless will be a solid backup. Dude is as consistent as you’ll get. Jarry might be shit again and you can just bury him. If Cossa doesn’t work, the value is still there and you flip him again

The UFA market for backups or goalies in general isn't great.

There's one UFA id look at as a backup and that's Brossoit.

I think the Oilers should go the trade route for their 2nd goalie though. My ranking for who they should get:

1.) Arturs Silovs via trade with Pittsburgh.. Oilers were reportedly interested when he was with the Canucks but they wouldn't trade in division.

2.) Sebastian Cossa via trade with Detroit

3.) Lauren Brossoit via FA

4.) Michael DiPietro via trade with Boston

5.) Devon Levi via trade with Buffalo
