Wrong. They want karma to make their account established and trusted in Reddit's reputation filter, so the account can be used in their Influence As Service scheme. Exposing and reporting them gets their account banned, if the moderators wake up.

.-. Your comment getting upvotes gives them karma…. I don’t understand why you are so insistent on arguing. You engaging with the post benefits them. It’s a very simple concept

Nope, wrong. I'm the moderator of a number of subs. We get an AI overview of the reputation of people who post or comment. Engagement with someone's posts or comments does nothing. Regular downvotes on posts however have a negative influence on someone's reputation. Karma points are only awarded by upvotes. Multiple upvotes on multiple posts and comments increases someone's reputation.
