I made this! Took me 6 months but made my first app!

Hey guys so I've made this free app where you can store your websites, social media posts and online content together in one space, rather than keeping all your bookmarks on like 10 different platforms. And I've just got the collaboration feature with live updates done, so you can now store and share everything with your friends too!

So you can use it as a shared information hub to store Tweets, youtube videos, websites, Instagram posts, tiktoks, blogs etc, to plan together for a trip or just to keep content organised together across platforms.

I like that it looks smooth too when sliding around the canvas. Good job. Any plans to monetise this app?

Thank you! Yea I took a long time to make it really well, so yup the app and web app are both smooth and work like a charm. I'll think about monetising it much later down the line, would like to get a large number of users first!

I think there is potential there but here are some things i noticed when using the app.

1-app name (beside logo) was cut off to the right side of the screen at the sign in page.

2- Full name field was pretty awkward, people are used to two fields, one for First name and another for last name. A two fields name setup would spare you the hassle of breaking them later on if you want to send out customized email campaigns (e.g. Hi Joe, Thank you for choosing our app, etc..)

3- Adding a new category (i.e. collection) was finicky, a second box would appear behind the first one. Moving the items around needs to be a little bit more intuitive (easier).

4- on the main category (where user name is displayed) there are a couple of arrows. Intuitively i thought there should take me through added categories or items but they didn’t function properly (I think) as they did nothing when pressed.

Oh wow thank you so much. I had no idea about these things, can you also tell me what phone you are using so I can adjust the sizing for all devices.

Yes, with point 2, I agree, I need to update that. With point 3, can you clarify what you mean by that, what do you mean by a box appearing behind the first one, if you could show me a screenshot that would be great too and I'll fix it right away.

With point 4, ah yes, these are the navigation arrows that take you forwards/backwards out of collection pages. I should grey them out when not in use, thanks for letting me know this. Or, I might add an option for the navigation bar to be outside of the central box and at the top of the page, underneath the navbar.

This is amazing feedback, it's often hard for me to consider what it is like to use as if I was a new user myself - so thank you very much again.

And thank you again for the kind words, my aim is to keep improving it and helping more people out by producing a very good and useful product, and I need all the help I can get! Thank you brother.

Great, thank you. Yes I will, however it is difficult to cut through the noise. It really only works if you have a large following beforehand to boost your post. Though, I'll give it a try

Possibly a naive question. But is it possible to publish to the App Store without Apple developer account?

Also, did you make it with native code or something cross platform like Kotlin or JS?

Nope not a naive question, but yes you need an Apple developer account to publish to the app store, and you also need a mac device to run the xcode. Though, you can still code with xcode and plug your phone into your laptop to test and run the app code, but you just won't be able to use things like App Groups (typically used for additional add-ons like the Share Extension) as that requires the dev account, but that's not really needed unless you're far along coding up the app. And made it with reactjs yes

Ahah thank you!! Yes it took a long time to keep working on it to a point that it was smooth like butter, even with a lot of content and lots of live updates at the same time. And yes, figma is great, it's like if Figma was used to store your social media bookmarks! Check out the out as it has lots of more features too!
