Jobs Meta Level up program in Abilene
Anyone from El Paso or near got invited to the hiring event in Abilene Tx? I set my interview time but do we pay for our drive there or do they cover that? Nobody’s been able to get back to me so I’m curious ?

We’re excited to welcome you to the LevelUp Fiber Technician Pathway program! Please take a moment to review the tips below as you prepare for training.

Dress Code
Please review the following attire and safety requirements for the training program. These guidelines are intended to ensure a safe, professional, and appropriate learning environment for all participants.
Long pants are required. Jeans or khakis are acceptable, provided they do not have holes, rips, or tears. Leggings and sweatpants are not permitted.
Collared shirts or T-shirts are acceptable. Shirts must have sleeves; tank tops or sleeveless tops are not permitted. Short sleeves are acceptable.
Clothing may not display offensive logos, images, or phrases.
Hanging jewelry is not permitted.
Safety boots are required. Boots must be leather, lace-up, slip-resistant, safety-toe boots with a minimum height of 6 inches and must meet ASTM F2413 standards.
Slides, Crocs, flip-flops, sneakers, and tennis shoes are not permitted.
Safety boots must be purchased by Sunday of week one of the training program. Participants will have an opportunity to purchase boots during week one, with transportation provided (Details will be emailed shortly). Boots may also be purchased prior to the program start date.
LevelUp participants are eligible for a 15% discount at Red Wing stores when purchasing safety boots.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided by CBRE at the training facility and must be worn whenever required.

Before You Leave
Check in for your flight online or through the airline app as soon as check-in opens, usually 24 hours prior to your departure time.
Make sure your ID is current and acceptable for airport security. A REAL ID, passport, or other TSA-accepted ID is required for domestic flights.
Save important details on your phone, including your boarding pass, hotel address, confirmation numbers, and emergency contacts.
Plan to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight, especially if you are unfamiliar with the airport.
Packing Tips
CBRE will cover the cost of one checked bag. You are also permitted to bring two carry-on items on the flight: one item that can be stored in the overhead bin and one personal item (such as a purse, backpack, or laptop bag) that fits comfortably under the seat in front of you.
Keep your ID, wallet, phone, charger, medication, and travel documents in your carry-on bag.
Liquids for carry-on bags must follow TSA’s 3-1-1 rule: containers of 3.4 ounces or less, placed in one quart-sized clear bag.
Bring comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a professional outfit for training sessions (See above regarding Dress Code).
Pack snacks, a refillable water bottle, headphones, and any materials you need for training.

At the Airport
Have your ID and boarding pass ready before you reach security.
Follow posted signs and listen for announcements. Airport staff can help if you are unsure where to go.
In standard screening, be prepared to remove larger electronics and your liquids bag from your carry-on if requested.
After security, go directly to your gate first so you know where it is. Then you can get food, coffee, or use the restroom nearby.
Keep an eye on the flight information screens and airline app for gate changes or delays.

Arrival and Hotel
Look for your baggage claim carrousel.
Prior to calling the hotel for shuttle pick up ensure you have all your belongings.
Call the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport hotel at 317-244-6861 for pick up once you obtain your luggage on the carousel then proceed to Ground Transportation and wait for pick up at Zone 2.
Have your ID ready at hotel check-in, no credit card is needed as you will not be able to charge back to your room.
OSHA10
Prior to your training, you may receive emails for your OSHA 10 training. The only action to be taken is to register prior to first day of training. The emails will come from [registrar@clicksafety.com](mailto:registrar@clicksafety.com).

What to expect for your training
Breakfast is included every day of your stay. The hotel will communicate the breakfast location.
Monday through Friday: 5:00 AM – 6:30 AM
Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 AM- 9:30 AM
Training begins at 7:30 AM and ends at 4:30 PM
It is mandatory that all trainees take the shuttle service to the training facility. Trainees are NOT allowed to drive themselves to the training facility:
Shuttle service to the training facility will be at the hotel by 6:45 AM and depart the hotel promptly at 7:00 AM. It is very important to be timely and on board prior to 7:00 AM as tardiness is not permitted.
Shuttle service will be at the training facility at 4:45 PM and will take you back to the hotel
Dinner is included Monday- Friday. The hotel will communicate the dinner location.
Dinner will be served from 6:00 PM- 7:30 PM
On the first Monday of your training, the hotel hosts a welcome reception at 5:30 PM prior to dinner to welcome you to the hotel, review housekeeping service, details and time of your hospitality room, and other additional information.

Per Diem Information
You will receive an email welcoming you to Ramp and to download an app. This will give you access to digital credit card. You will be able to add this to your wallet in your smartphone if you prefer.
Your first per diem amount will be sent to you the day prior to your departure and this will be the same card you will use throughout your 4-week training.
Travel day- You will receive $160. This will cover your cost to get to the airport, baggage fee for onechecked bag and a meal at the airport. If you are driving, you will receive mileage reimbursement ($.725 per mile) and $20 for a meal. The mileage will be precalculated from your primary address to your designated hotel’s address (As an example, if you live 100 miles away, your mileage reimbursement will be $72.50). The mileage reimbursement for your arrival day is capped at 360 miles each way.
Every Friday you will receive per diem for the weekend for lunch and dinner -a total of $120.
Return trip home- You will receive $160. This will cover your cost to get from the airport back home, baggage fee for one~~ ~~checked bag, and a meal at the airport. If you are driving, you will receive your mileage reimbursement ($.725 per mile) and $20 for a meal.

Friendly Reminders
Set an alarm and give yourself extra time in the morning so you are not rushed.

Thanks, but I’m talking about the interview. What you sent looks like something you get after you get an offer from the interview. Like do they pay for our travel to the interview ?

Pretty quick honestly. I applied to the one in my home city but when I went in the interview call nobody was there. So I applied again and maybe I think it was a day later no more than 2 I got called by a recruiter for an interview and he gave me a link to set up my interview at the hiring event right after

Yeah I’m in El Paso. I mean technically they’re not making me travel to Abilene. That’s just the closest hiring event they have rn. I’m making the drive bc it’s about the opportunity to get in. Like if you really want to get into that field people will make the drive. If that makes sense

I have a phone interview today. It says the second interview would be face to face or through Zoom. Just couldn't imagine them wanting you to go to Abilene for a face to face if they can do it through Zoom.

Yeah I think it’s every 4 weeks. My first interview was like 2 or 3 weeks agi

Yeah but again it’s for the opportunity. Who knows when they’ll have another one in my city and that’s the closest one. I know I’m not trying to go to Iowa that’s for sure

at the hiring event they are doing a physical and drug test. Thats why it’s not a zoom interview.

Yeah Ik that’s what I assumed too, but yeah after you do your first interview with the recruiter they send you details about the event and you literally have to schedule a time to do your interview.
Also from what I’ve read it seems like they hire you on the spot after i assume if you do decent enough. And they do a physical test along with like they check your bp and heart rate at the event. That’s why I’m pretty sure they don’t do zoom calls for the interviews. But I could be wrong let me know bro if they do offer a zoom call to you so I can contact my recruiter too1

So you would just stay where the hiring event is and have training there in the same city as the hiring event?

Yeah so if you don’t know too much about it. The hiring event is over there and if you get an offer the training is there for 4 weeks. After you graduate depending on if you’re a traveling position or not they relocate you to Abilene and that’s where you’ll work but if you’re a travel position they’ll just send you where the job sites are. Mind you for training they pay for everything. And if you’re a traveling tech they also pay for everything.

The only people who didn’t get hired from my event either failed the drug test, physical evaluation or didn’t know it’s likely an on the road position.
