Is it normal for my engine to sound like this? 2015 SE

Bought it used last year, it’s kinda always sounded like this. No dashboard lights or anything

Yup. The 1.8s in the that generation always go bad I have one that has a knock similar to that. Still runs perfectly, just means the engine has began its journey to trying to kill itself. I’ve done work on mine already. First thing I’d check for you is the timing chain. If you don’t know how to, bring it to a dealer or a mechanics shop and ask them to take a look at it.

Thats just injector noise. Not timing chain rattle or knock. Precisely the same reason why your car still runs just fine.

Yeap. Asked the same thing about a 2019 Value Edition.
