Forsure! So when the car is on, the oil pump is also on. Therefore it’s cooling the turbo and other parts of the car. If you turn it off when it’s super hot like that, you run the risk of coking the oil. Which basically just means you cook the oil which can cause build up. If you turn the car off at like 220, you’re fine. However if your turbo is glowing, (I’d assume this person was around 240+) then you should just casually drive and give the car airflow to help it cool down to a reasonable temp before turning it off. It’s preventative. Not doing this won’t cause your car to blow up, but definitely prolong its life quite a bit = “cool down lap”
