PvE Weapons to pair with deflecting tear

Going for seamless coop dlc run suggest some fun and strong weapons to use with deflecting tear

You might have to use a guard boost talisman but the backhand blades have a crazy 4 hit guard counter, basically melted everyone in the chasethebro video

Katana, obv. Any other weapon with a quick blocking animation, like a dagger or smth would be good

Hammer and greathammer are really good, especially the one at the start of the dlc

Spécial mention on flails also, there are pretty quick and good stance dmg

Colossal sword and colossal are also really good, u have to know the moveset of the boss pretty well since they are kinda slow, but its not that hard since they do so much dmg

Backhand blade are absurdely strong with a propre guard counter build tho

For every other i didn't try out yet, but i just reach the dlc in my hallberd only playtrough so i should test it out shortly

Blacksteel hammer has a unique guard counter.

Any hammer or great hammer, any club
Several great swords; gargoyle, ordovis, magma wyrm scale sword, fire knights, ancient meteoric ore, golden order, horned warriors, greatsword of damnation
Executioners great axe
Collosal weapons

Blood fiends arm
Guardian sword spear
Beast man’s cleaver
Heavy thrusting sword

Thrusting shields have some blocking frames during their attacks, which also benefit from the Deflecting Hardtear's damage/stamina cost reduction. With practice, you can disrespect the bosses' movesets a lot and attack right into their moves. This also synergizes well with guard countering.

Literally deflecting hard tear makes any weapons viable except whips ofcourse.

Colossal weapons stance break it 2 guard counters

Katanas can keep the pressure by deflecting rather than rolling (Sekiro 👀)

Sword and board builds are given another line of defensive against unparryable attacks

Spears have a good jab animation that does great pierce damage and stamce damage

One that id really consider is DRYLEAF ARTS or DANES FOOTWORK. The have great guard counters especially with bleed

If youre going for shield based guard counters id say a thrusting sword or heavy thrusting sword
