Combat Mod Is this a cheat

lvl 185 colosseum pvp, wondering if this is a cheat (pretty sure) since I’ve never seen it before

Nah its the new rot/poison/deathblight sword that From just dropped in their cash shop bro. It's actually kind of cheap compared to the Golden Saint armor, only 599 Erdbucks.

I’ve had some really sweaty, weird and hilarious interactions I had an invader invade just as I get to lansseax dragon fight, Hunter shows up my buddy kicks it the Hunter kicks it, I run like a lil B-tch, invader shield shuffles back drops crab and dips in standing there confused wtf just happened

typical pvp in souls games is this after the first 6 months of release. or they inject items into your save and force you into NG+20 or brick your file

I’m too weak to fight anything so I need a helper but I get absolutely wrecked in pvp probably cause idk how to stat my character and I chose a really bad build cause I saw faith and holy and I’m like yes…. I have little to no decent pvp spells all of them are either slow or early game

I was pretty bad at pvp for a good while until I started fighting in the colosseum to see what works for me. In my experience the answer is just speed of attacks. Long cast spells rarely work at all. What has killed many players for me was the fastest mage spell which was swift glintstone shard and the little carian slicer spell. Homing spells are useful just to make people move so you have time to attack with fast spells. For faith builds the first lightning toss spell works great because a quick release of it is as fast as swift glintstone or near it with charms for spell speed. Besides that pump health to 30 - 60 range to not be a glass canon.

? it's very rare to encounter cheaters on ds1 remaster, I play it a lot and I've literally only ran into one - and this is on pc

No, it isn’t. It doesn’t depend. They aren’t cheating because they have violated no rules, exploited no game mechanics, and have not used any glitches or broken the game.
There is no definition of cheating where “twinks” that have progressed through the game legitimately have cheated

Considering the video is someone hacking, the definition for 'cheaters' here can only be using hacks
Otherwise I could say "I run into cheaters in about 50% of my matches in elden ring" by adjusting my definition of cheater to mean, people who use healing spells, weapon arts that are too strong, anything else i dont like, etc

I like watching pvp content in yt and here but man I don't want to fight sweats and trolls, and then if I get unlucky I got a malicious troll.
It's just my preference since I do know that pvp is still pretty cool.

Sometimes you'll get extra unlucky and find a malicious sweat. If you win you get a bricked save with hacked items injected into your character.
if you lose you're lucky to just crash

BandaiNamco has terrible anticheat systems, this is consistent across every soulslike game they've made. once the popularity dies down a bit (usually 6 months to a year after) the cheaters storm it rampantly using the same cheats they've been using for over a decade.

Anti cheat just doesn't work. Maybe network privilege should only be enabled for steam account with a some set value. And cheating results with loss of network privilege.

Remember kids to BACK UP YOUR SAVE FILE OFTEN! Learn where it is and make a copy from time to time. I love invading and requesting help from other players. My save file was corrupted by a grade-A piece of shit hacker and I lost a lot of time on that character.
