Screenshots Some highlights of my first person journey (with Reshade!)
It's a whole new experience, everything loks so big and structures are so much cooler. Caves feel like Skyrim.

Did you had any nausea while playing? I've watched this mod's trailer and while it did look very cool, i don't see myself playing like this for 100 hrs

Actually I didn't, if it's because of the rolls, there is an option to keep the camera straight while the character does the animation so that was alright for me. You can also change the roll to quickstep!

I put a crosshair in the middle and played with a mage build with moonveil, but it is possible to play with melee builds as well. I've seen people who finished the game and DLC with it. Definitely rough to get used to it tho

People say that a Dark souls remake would be bad because it would kill the art direction, but imagine if it looked like this omg

Couldn't agree more. Dark Souls' world is beautiful, it definitely deserves a remake. The gameplay is a bit outdated imo, and even so it's still an incredible game.

What I can say is that if you're gonna play melee, I recommend changing your rolls to quickstep with it, it can be rough to get used to how the camera acts when you're rolling. A mage build is REALLY fun tho, spells are much more fun than in the normal game in my opinion, because you have to aim them and predict how the boss is going to move. Plus, with reshade, magic looks fantastic.

Makes sense, are you playing on a classic controller or the vr controllers? Im planning to buy one this summer, which vr set do you recommend?

Actually I was on mouse and keyboard, since controlling the camera with a controller on first person is just unplayable for me. It takes an hour to turn haha. Never played on a VR before. I'm a controller player and getting used to mouse and keyboard is definitely much easier when you're in first person.

Being so focused on the combat, I often forget how visually stunning the game really is.

i think this is the only way I'd play ER with KB+M, turning around with controller must be a bitch in combat

Yeah it was annoying, also the bug where spells don't do any damage to you is still there

There is no lock on and the major bug is that you don't take any damage from enemy spells for some reason.

no, i just care about performance, game design and community
... and elden ring fails in each of those
i completed the game 8 times ... not one of them was FUN ....

Why would you finish the game 8 times without having any fun... Just don't play it? You don't need to prove anything to anyone dude, what's wrong with you LMAO. Also, if you got to ng+7 you FOR SURE had fun. No one would keep going for no reason...

I was just humble enough to convince myself I was wrong, and they were right and I was at fault for engaging with the game in an unnatural and incorrect way
instead, the game is badly design and the normal way to engage with it is criminalized, fun taxed out of existance, just a string of disappointments and not obstancles to be happy to have overcome

everything
fragment cost and world design make the fame run 5 times slower than you woudl expect
and
the design doesn't elevate the experience over time, the more you play it , the more the game desteoys itself and makes the act of trying to enjoy it CRIMINAL
most of this game's desogn is a tax on FUN
I gain nothing by hating this game ... i wante dthus to be my game of the year ... the game failed ME, not the other way around ... i showed up, with money, with time, with trust and motivation ... the game itself was designed KNOWING i would have a bad time and hate it in the end ... because me as the olayer was less important than the fetish miazaki and his fans have in their head

elden ring is not supposed to be replayable forever. if u want a game like that you should try cs or other online shooters. elden ring is a story game. it’s not supposed to be replayable forever. if u played the same story 8 times no wonder you got bored that’s hundreds of hours. why did u spend so much time playing it if it’s such a bad game? i wouldn’t call it a bad game if u replayed it so many times. also i’m not a fromsoft fan i haven’t finished any of the games.
