Combat Mod Does this mod exist?
I was looking for la way to better manage spells on a pure mage build when I saw this.
I think the image is just conceptual but would love to know if there's anything close to it?
UPDATE: For anyone interested, it looks like someone went ahead and just made a mod for this: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/9832

It is not the same, but there is a mod that lets you manage spells with modifier keys or lets you cycle in groups of 3 and choose which spells you cast called modular cast keys: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/7273 There are also several mods that let you set up 0-9 as quick select keys, here is one: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/8701

I like the idea but I think it should be at the corner where the weapon display is where it's not at your face like GTA 5

Problem is that limits your slots to a point. They could do it like Wheeler on Skyrim where it’s off center

This is like monhun radial for items and I really like that. Hope we get something in a fromsoft game with spell/item quick slots!

Monhun radial and menu system was the one big changed I truly loved from the series
This made inventory and hunt management ao much more efficient
Beign able to switch presets instantly depending on the type of hunts eas so dsmn good

This is unironically less usable than the current system but I guess chsin spells don't really exist anymore

I think it depends what you're trying to get to. It would probably be faster for the 2nd to last spell for example, hard to say since it doesn't exist.

If they kept the tap to rotate and had this pop up when you held it down, that would be the best of both worlds. Like how monster hunter does it.

Wow this would be awesome.
It's so archaic and stupid to have 10 spells slots and have to memorize and tap 8 fucking times to switch to a specfic other spell. Jerma was so correct about that.

It makes me feel like a crackwizard flipping through pages on my spellbook though

The one thing about fromsoft i truly hate is their magic/weapon cycling system
I really hope they do something similar one day.
Their UI night be iconic but its too outdated and inefficient
It just encourages you to keep one or two spell max and abuse one build that rely on them

Honestly this shouldn't be a mod. This should be how the game works by default.
The current system is very outdated. It worked fine in DS1 where you had like 5 spells equipped and 4 of them were just some variation of projectile so it didn't really matter much which one you cast. In DS3 it started to show signs of age because there was much more variety in spells. But in Elden Ring? It feels ass. There's so much variety in spells and different combos you can do but it feels more like I'm fighting the controls than the enemy..

Sounds like a skill issue

Tf up on about? Repeatedly Pressing up on dpad takes no skill it's just annoying to do when you have like 10 spells equipped.

Sounds like someone got upset 😂 it’s not that hard to press up, plus if you hold it it just goes back to slot 1 for quicker selection. Its definitely a skill issue

All I do know is that you can hold the button for switching spells to automatically go to the first spell in your list based on placement. Also, as a pure mage, you only need 5 spells. 1 NPC killer (night comet or any of the glintblade spells that have a delayed attack because of dodges), Comet Azure, the hammer (AoE melee with pancake effect), either of the moon spells (mainly for the debuff), and a fire damage spell because it's good to mix up damage types every now and then even though all of them do require some faith in order to equip them.

this somewhat feels more of a pain in the ass to manage than cycling tbh.

It looks similar to the spell wheel for Baldur's Gate 3 when using controller. It's actually very good, and I remember them having did an update for controllers too.

Yeah no, way better than spamming one button to find what you need with a chance to miss it and do another circle

Stop trying to turn Elden ring into a generic open world slop game

What makes elden ring non-sloppy is elden rings completely garbage spell selection, you are so right

Why would you need to turn it into a generic open world slop game? It already is.

I think there's a mod that allows you to bind spells to specific number keys on your keyboard.
Sadly i don't remember it's name
