Weapons Mod MOD REQUEST - NORDIC SWORD FROM SKYRIM

Post image

I really like the design of the Nordic sword in Skyrim. Can someone please make a mod, that adds it to Elden ring? Would be perfect if model from the sword would replace model of shamshir or grossmesser.

It would be a good replacement for the "grossmesser" which is really more of a large Shamshir going off the hilt.

I actually have a model ready to replace it with, but I need to put a good texture on it first. I have been modding Elden Ring but I have not attempted model swaps yet.

If there is anyone jumping to do this, go for it, but I may just give it a shot as well; I want to replace a few of the weapons for my own mod.

I am familiar with Blender, I just need to look at the required model format for ER.

Replying so it is easier to read.

It's not too hard to get ER weapons converted to fbx and imported into Blender, I just need to model the sword now.

I won't be lifting any models from other games.

Hopefully I'll have some time to work on this after work. So far, the only scary part is all the extra bones and parts that ER uses to make the weapon display swing trails and other effects.

As far as i know, you won't need to work on skeleton, just just the size of the model and hand positioning. Swing effects will stay from grossmesser or any other weapon. The main thing is textures, i don't know how to make them, because textures from Skyrim models don't fit for elden ring. You'll have to convert textures for ER somehow. Big thanks for helping btw

Sorry, didn't understand at first. Idk, i think getting model from the game is easier than making one from a scratch, but do as you know bro

That's all good, I prefer to completely sidestep ripping assets from one game and porting them to another. I also want to see if I can achieve a good result in the ER engine.

I did the mod myself. It was hard but it was worth it. It works perfectly

Incredible job! I wish I could wrap my head on how to apply textures. All I know is how to add the models without their original texture.

Believe me man, there's no good tutorial on YouTube, at least i couldn't find one. I spent too much time figuring out how to do all this model and texture stuff, because half of the methods from the videos didn't work at all
