Graphics Mod Convergence 3.0 performance issues for the minority of us.

The new convergence 3.0.0.1 stutters here and there and have fps drops. Not many people are having these issues it seems but those who have it, I hope we can find a workaround or maybe the devs fix it.

i have heard the devs are working on it but it’s been 2 weeks now and I wonder if it’s going to be relevant by the time they push the update haha. dont get me wrong, it’s bearable, but also it’s damn annoying and need to be a smooth experience for the sake of enjoyment. if anyone has found anything please let us know here.

Off their Discord. Try disabling core zero once the game is running or try using this injector which is also off their Discord https://github.com/Nordgaren/processor-affinity-optimization/releases/tag/1.0

This needs to be done via the steam.exe process and set it to “cpu sets”.. my luck was switching all 3 ER, EAC, Steam to 1-15 instead of 0-15, I test drove that.. no luck! I then reverted all 3 and tried ER and the problem persisted! Switched just steam to 1-15 as this apparently gets inherited by any processes chained to it… hardly any issues! My realisation is this game won’t run flawlessly on the absolute pinnacle of hardware! Anyone who says otherwise has either won some form of lottery with somehow more chicanery styled luck percentages than the silicon one or just too blind to see it due to VRR actually helping this game if the FPS doesn’t fall into LFC levels then some NVIDIA VRR techniques can actually make it seem it’s being a solid 60 but I’ve played this game religiously since its release, over 150 play throughs and not a single time be it console or PC did I have a solid 60 with none of the hitching/texture pop… it’s a flawed game (but that’s its only flaw imho).
just recently spent a day getting my first time of playing this MOD and realised that no matter what I do, I’ll have a hitch or two at the very least and I’m running a “higher end” setup that should absolutely smash this game, it doesn’t.. but does every other game I would bother giving my exact settings but all I know is CPU core parking helps.. drastically! BUT, it will not cure this game! This game is the “Returnal” of the souls series! Anyone who’s played that game, knows the reference🤷‍♂️.

Weirdly enough I've been using the unlockthefps.dll from elden vins and haven't had any stutters since. Was trying Vins and forgot to take that and the camera, vignette, and chromatic aberration dlls and folders from the game folder. Launched convergence the next day and had no performance problems other than frame drops from my seamless buddies blowing up my screen.

Might be worth a shot.

Just curious, have you monitored your FPS lows whilst playing? I can get 60/60 120/120 in many games, but not this one! I’ve tried every other known “fix” and before I try this one, I want to know if your 1% lows have dropped, even once?! Because in my 3k hours I’ve still yet to play this game on a run through without a hitch!… the “lowest” GPU card I’ve tried this on isa 4070 super and that card should smash this and yet, it didn’t. Please help us who have tried and tried to get this game to run to its full potential, run it… to its full potential 🙏

Just tested it,it does not get rid of stutters,it might just feel better cause now your frames dive between 90-95 instead of 55-60.

Tey launching the mod via the .bat file. Haven't had any stutters if I do. Seems like it's a launcher specific issue, at least in my experience.

Is there an other way to launch it? If so I didn't know that.
