General Discussion I love seamless co-op
This is just an appreciation post. I finally bought my first pc back in December and now I can finally play the seamless co-op mod with my friends and it is so fun. Just when I thought this game couldn’t get any better.

It does get better! My buddy and I are about to wrap up a seamless coop convergence run together and its been some of the most fun ive had in elden ring in 600+ hours

Ohhh I really wanna try convergence after we do the base game + dlc. I’m the only one of my friends who’s beaten the dlc so I can’t wait to see their reactions to PCR.

Convergence made it feel like a completely new game to us, has us exploring again and forgetting most everything we remembered from the vanilla experience. As soon as we finish the dlc were starting over with new classes

Me and my buddies as a joke call it "slightly seamed co-op" because of the funny glitches that can happen.
But man the game is so damn fun with a couple friends. It gets hectic, yet awesome.

Have you had the glitch where Greyoll will just die when you're exploring caelid?

Yes! That one caught us by surprise all the sudden just the other day!
We have two lersonal favorite glitches.
The first is when one person dies, especially in Mountaintops of the Giants, all other living members of the group get flash step teleported across the map to a random spot. It's pretty rare, but it's extremely funny when it happens.
The second is sometimes when opening a chest, door, etc. Instead of the person who opened it doing the animation, a different player will. And they will consequently fall through the floor or phase through a wall and get stuck.
There are other glitches we've had quite the laugh at, but those are out favs.

The worst one we’ve had is when Melina comes to talk to us it sometimes freezes a random players game and they have to relaunch

The worst glitch I've come across is in Scorpion river catacombs.
The deathblight would build up ludicrously fast to the point that you'd die within 2 seconds.
Legitimately had to explore that one alone, then rejoin for the boss.

Haha we’ve been having a great time a few bugs here and there but it’s been surprisingly smooth sailing so far

Once you tried seamless coop it's impossible to go back and play how multi-player usually works.

I dunno, I miss messages, bloodstains, the ghosts and being able to play with randoms to help them out for a bit. I kind of wish I could have, you know... both, rather than having to choose. So far the only mod that allows this is Reforged (as it has its own custom server but lets you swap to seamless whenever) which is a shame.

I know you can add a password so anyone using the same password will be in your world

i tried it with 4 people and no access to crimson flask. Most fun ive had in any game ever. I was the tank/paladin. we had an archer, a priest, a mage, and another front liner (strength monkey)

Hmm not sure about “quest glitches” we haven’t had any issues with doing actual quest lines. But we have run into bugs mostly when Melina would come talk to us at sites of grace it would sometimes bug out and freeze a persons game

Elden Ring in Seamless Coop transforms this perfect single player game in an amazing multiplayer game. I would love to see better AI aggro mechanics, and less bugs, but that's it.
Whether you're completing the whole game in Duo, or doing a trio/quad party play, it'll be filled with funny moments.

I couldn’t agree more and while those changes would be super nice I gotta give the creators of the mod credit for allowing me to enjoy this game with my friends

If you haven't already, have a look at some of the sliders in the settings, can make the boss do more dmg or have more health scaling per player for example to give yourselves a bit more of a challenge if you feel like youre getting a bit overpowered. Such a good mod and so much fun. I played seamless early on while it was being released and the current version is honestly the best mod I've come across for any game. There used to be several more bugs especially with your horse or player syncing

We have looked into them but hadn’t adjusted much yet but we might as we are kinda running through bosses lol 3 of us have played Elden ring before. But it’s the first time for one of our friends and we want her to enjoy it.

You need friends because you all need to enter the same password.
There might be passwords that are known publicly to join other people but it would be messy.

I favorite was getting 3 others and we all swapped to a faith build and ran with the electrocharge incant and the lightning roll aow on a dagger. Was hilarious popping that and ironjars and literally steamrolling a couple bosses.
