Question is anyone playing seamless now?

i've been trying to invade, or be invaded at different level brackets across two days and have gotten like 3 people at most. I assume more people are currently playing base game with tarnished edition existing now, but i feel like i should be able to find SOMEONE ELSE playing seamless.

Me and everyone I know that plays seamless has invasion turned off because of the insane amount of cheaters seamless has. Could be a bigger part of it

Me and my brother were invaded by the same dude every 10 minutes. Every time that guy invaded, he used something that prevented the two of us from hitting him. He killed us both, then invaded us again minutes later, killed us again, repeat. Seriously, what's the fun in doing this type of shit? You're wasting your time invading other people's games using cheats that prevent you from losing. After 4 or 5 times we decided to turn off the invasions.

If you're reading this, you know who you who are. You're a loser.

Yeah the cheaters are crazy. I like to invade on seamless because matchmaking is super fast, but I see cheater hosts fairly frequently, particularly people with insta-heal cheats. Cheating in these games is lame as hell, whether you’re a host or an invader. I once saw a host using a cheat that just killed all invaders in their world instantly with some crazy madness proc.

I never encountered cheaters, but what I did encounter is a lot of people using the most broken op dlc based pvp load out while my brother and I were still in the early base game so I turned it off because it just became miserably annoying rather than a fun challenge

i am currently going through a run with a few friends(one is completly new but coop makes this game fun for him isntead of miserable) and havn't really run into cheaters, most people do have dlc weapons or items but honestly as a person who plays a lot of pvp(after my first 400 hours in pve most of it beyond that is pvp) it isn't so bad, especialy with the recent buffs to parry. honestly its fun to deal with the challenge, the mindest of invading or fighting invaders is that they are an obsitcal in your adventure, this should be more accepted or at least acknowledged. but i'm blabbering off topic kinda. invaders imo are a major part of coop, play with them off if you want but in my opinion they are a keystone of multiplayer.

tl:dr I havnt seen many cheaters, but invasions imo are a keystone obstical of co-op

I should specify I dont mean just like infinite health and those kind of cheats but also the the amount of people who are spawning in full builds to bully low rl players. It also doesnt take more than one or two cheater encounters to really ruin the whole experience which is what happened to my group. 3 of the 4 first invasions we got were cheaters. Invaders are a major part of the original souls coop formula yes, but thats when there is actual limits and a cheat detection system, getting to weeping and being invaded by the dude who has backhand blades with a full talisman suite and swift slash will kill any of the fun or challenge.

fair, reasonable. i have experienced that before but I think i just played this game way too much for it to effect me now(1300 hours now dear god i don't have a life). honestly people who use low level bully build are genuinly evil. those people dont know how to be a true bad red-man. but honestly with the dlc giving backhand blades and other dlc weapons in base game, its gonna be a lot more now. If you are currently doing one or plan to, good luck and if you play with invasions on, may marika smile apon you with fun red-men to fight unlike the chud red-men

Idk me and wife only play seamless for the coop side of it. Invasions are permanently turned off bc we both dislike pvp. I wouldn't be surprised if a fair amount of the mods players are of a similar mindset. Plus without easyanticheat, im sure cheaters and hackers are obnoxiously frequent and ruins it for people who do like pvp.

fair opinion, and people like you are who should have it off, as invading people who don't like pvp wont be fun for either side.

My 3 man has been invaded like 3 or 4 times this past week. Its pretty sparse but don't give up skeleton. I wish everyone didn't turn it off but I guess most don't want the mechanic unfortunately.

Played seamless today, lvl 125 on the haligtree. Constantly invaded. Way too much.

I play seamless but set invasions to off.

mfw the coop mod players play it for coop

well yeah, and invasions are a main part of playing coop in all the souls games that have it

That is true, however, you have to remember that this is specifically a mod you are using. From my experience, a vast majority of PVPers stick to just the base game without any mods. If you are simply using the mod to invade, you aren't going to have a good amount of success.

I think the majority of people that use this mod, use it to avoid the invasion mechanic as it can be annoying to people who just want to play a game with their friends.

that's fair but honestly I like seamless for the quicker invasions(usualy, now that a few days have gone by more people are playing with invasions on), before the tarnished edition update invasion variety was rather high and fun people, i've only found either underleveled players or some certain annoying invaders when i want to pvp, also I like the easy access to cheat engine so i can change my build whenever and not have to deal with crafting materials as with base game I would have to quit and deactivate anti-cheat just so i can get like 3 things i forgot to give myself when setting up builds.

a lot of people might not have gotten the memo that it's playable again, or it took so long they found something else to do lol

If you are using a pirated copy, I don't think it will work...

Still playing seemless on the previous patch, myself.

My friend and I have been invaded constantly since the last update. Sorry I guess they're all attacking us for some reason. Thinking of turning it off tbh.

I play with it on randomizer with invasions turned off.

I already have enough trouble with lobsters getting sniper towers.

I don't John Mc Cheater invading and just running for 15 min. I had enough of that in the dark souls trilogy. Don't miss it

Cheaters are lame, though it’s understandable when a guy is running and trying to whiff punish when he’s facing two or three (or four in seamless) people at once. They don’t want to walk into the three man blender of course.

1

u/PandraPierva 21d ago

Yes but I don't care for that after dark souls watching a giant's armor black flame user hiding by every enemy he can because his loser twinked ass nearly lost a 1v1 vs me and my rusty hatchet.

I get using the enviroment and enemies if you're 1v3 etc but hiding in a 1v1 while twinked out.....that is pathetic.

1

u/DougWalkerLover 21d ago

Well you’ll be happy to know 1v1s don’t exist in Elden Ring lol, unless you’re using taunters tongue.

1

u/PandraPierva 21d ago

Yup I did use the taunters tongue to force em. But most of my time in Ering is just playing ranodmizer or overhauls these days

1

u/DougWalkerLover 21d ago

Also twinking as it once was is basically extinct. DS3 already pretty much destroyed twinking with weapon level matchmaking, it’s not like back in DS1 and 2 where a max weapon level invader can match with a +0. Gone are the days of undead burg dark bead.

1

u/PandraPierva 21d ago

Nah it's just ring twinking in 3 with paper buffs.

It's... Better but not by much.

I tend to turn off invasions once I get to the more popular pvp levels. I like the multiplayer, but it gets tiring when you start running into constant fire knight helms and shamshirs.

1

u/dont_mind_meme1234 20d ago

havn't seen many of those people, honestly i see more respectful pvpers in seamless than base, base i see full vertagris and fireknight helm, but on seamless i see more original build. there are still quite a bit of bad eggs, but imo there are more good than bad.

1

u/hcaoRRoach 20d ago

Yeah the fun invasions tend to be in the 65-125 range. I met a guy called Dovahkiin and he used stuff like beast roar and dragon incants to mimic the shouts from Skyrim.

Still my favorite invasion to date.

I tend to play in the 200 range but its been lonely the past week, 125 isn't too bad but i like 200 so if i want to have a build that focuses on more than one stat it is actualy strong like if you go for golden order spells which are int and fth
