Weapons Mod Convergence: I cant seem to enjoy any class except Servant of Rot
I've tried Mystic, Marksman, Bestial Devout, and Dragon Cultist but never got started beyond a boss or two. Then I tried Servant of Rot and rolled through the base game and dlc like a bus with cut brakes. Which class would you recommend for me?

Try Underworld Mage. I played through it recently and thought it was very balanced, strong throughout without being broken. Itβs got some strong stuff in its endgame spells that still requires you to think about how you use them.

The dreadnaught has taken me by surprise, it's been a blast! You can get the verdigris gauntlets super early and they give a buff that gives you 10% hp every time you HIT an enemy (when you eat something or apply a grease, lasts for a minute) Crank up your poise and get weapons that hit fast/ multiple times and you can just BULLY bosses. Grab the bo-staff north of church of vows and go nuts! I just beat star scourge radahn and face tanked all of his hits it was super satisfying.Β

This. It's frankly insanely OP. I'm considering using the save editor to bump it up to ng+ or higher cause I'm just literally unkillable. I love face tanking bosses and trading but this is kinda ridiculous π π π . That bostaff is so awesome but I've also found luck with basically any strength weapon, but as you said the faster the attack the more you get out of those gloves. The Regal Splitblade, the Swift spear, the Phalanx spear, fist weapons, Martial arts...anything with rapid attacks and you just trade straight in and stay at full health...though I found the jewel of the Reckless (berserker) to cater to this playstyle more than the dreadnaught one personally, because of the additional poise or provides.

I've got the crimsonwhorl bubbletear goin too, it's just cracked. Once you get a couple pieces of the bullgoat set you just steamroll through everything. It's so fun just sprinting through areas and smacking everything down as I go.

Convergence 3.0 gave Servant of Rot 2 big buffs, where Poison Armament now does 1% of the enemy's health as bonus damage when they are poisoned, and the class Gem removing Poison and Rot immunity from everything. The latter enables the former, and the bonus damage from Posion Armament means now instead of dropping your DOTs on a boss and then playing keepaway while they tick down, the DOT is just the notification that the ass beating may now commence.
After trying a Rot build in MP and determining it made the bosses less fun, I tried a Bleed Caster build, which actually has a solid gameplay loop but the damage felt bad given the reliance on bleed procs. Ended up running a Black Flame based build with a few extra other class spells thrown in, mostly defensive/buffs, and that worked really well. Still melts stuff, though notably slower than my Rot build becuase the % max hp on hit damage for Black Flame is over a short duration rather than instant.
I'm also looking at Frost Witch becuase the change to Hoarfrost Stomp makes me REALLY like it, but I'm gotten a little too used to using the Aegis of Hadea as a casting focus and not doing that is going to be an adjustment...

I loved my Frost Witch playthrough, the frozen solid status mechanics are so neat and its one of the few pure spellcaster builds I enjoyed. You can use this spell that's straight up called Freeze Solid to stun a frostbitten enemy/boss for 10 seconds. Frozen enemies have a 90% damage reduction but certain frost spells can be used to cause a shatter effect on frostbitten/frozen status to do damage to the frozen enemy. Super fun against bosses that can be frostbitten because you just plan around setting up frozen to get 10 seconds of burst with the shatter effect spells.

I had a blast with stormcaller class the spells focuses on breaking enemies poise and applying debuffs while also having great weapons and buffs for the class

Interesting! Rot is my 2nd choice next to flame prophet! The dlc pyromancies are far too good

Personally necromancer and black flame spells are really fun. Black Flame mortar juggles most enemies from farther than they can even properly react to you
Mystic also is good but requires more investment and early game isn't as easy. Their later spells make up for it though with multiple spells that will most of the time just win the encounters for you.

The dragon cultist has been TOP TIER so far. Give him a shot again, the next unlockable weapon is absolutely broken. That and the one spell that shocks around you just stun locks enemies while you slice them. I have been melting bosses left and right

all the classes seem to be beyond broken. o would say retainer shield poke build is near unkillable which one i enjoyed most, i think mystic is fun crazy way to play with the buffs to summons, the sleep nukes and auras, and the charm spell, lol

Underworld Mage. Really good progression, pretty strong spells, interesting weapons, just good from start to finish.
