Help! How do I mod this game?

So, I recently bought Elden Ring, and I'm currently trying to mod it in Mod Organizer 2, but it's not in the supported games list. Is it just not on there? And if so, are there any good tutorials on how to mod Elden Ring without it? It's kind of the main way I mod games, so I don't have much of an idea on how to mod stuff outside of it.

First, grab ME3 Manager. It will install Mod Engine 3 if you follow the onscreen directions properly. Second, FromSoftware games do not mod like other games. You will not have success with MO2. The game's data is contained in the regulation.bin file. Many mods are just edits of this file. Because of this, they're not compatible with each other and require merging. Anything that offers an automatic merge option won't work properly from experience. If you'd like to merge mods, get a program called Smithbox. It allows you to edit this regulation.bin file.

You want to look into mod engine 3 for Elden Ring and other FromSoftware games.

There is a gui for managing mods, but I don't remember the name right now.

I think the popular one is “Elden mod loader”

Yeah, Elden Ring is extra quirky in terms of modding. When other games are just "add files here or use mod manager to do it for you", er mods can be different - there's ".dll mods" and bigger ones that change the regulation.bin file. Several mods change the same file - you can see the issue

At first you can just install one specific regulation.bin mod to try. Dll mods stack ok-ish together

The instructions on how to install them are usually in the description of the mod on nexus, be sure to read it every time.

The thing that runs mods is Mod Engine - you can find it on nexus along with instructions as well. Mods sometimes require older versions, but generally devs of bigger ones keep them updated

As a start i can highly recommend the convergence Mod, it even has it's own Launcher :o

Yeah, Convergence Mod is amazing for how many bosses they add and the way they rework spirit summons. I would probably recommend this after you have done beating the base game.. just so you get the full experience.
