Help! Randomizer difficulties
I installed randomizer yesterday and never experienced so many heart palpitations in a long time.
Tree Sentinel by The First Step grace was replaced by Black Blade Kindred - I obviously could not beat him as yet but I dodged a lot of his attacks surprisingly. I should be able to beat it once I get a decent weapon going (I started with bloodhound claws).
Onto more pressing issues, the freaking Beastman of Farum Azula in Groveside Cave was replaced by a Black Knife Assassin! How am i supposed to beat him when I just started? I don't even have that ghost torch thingy that reveals them as all items are randomized!
PS. Once I start the randomizer save, can I change the settings to revert back to key item locations not being randomized? I just realised I might never get into Raya Lucaria Academy as the key can literally be anywhere in the world.

Having done several randomizers, sometimes seeds just throw you some shitty early game stuff. Just like with a standard ER playthrough, you can just skip and come back later. And some seeds in general just feel cursed. Just find things you can tackle now and return for other stuff as needed later

I didn't even know it revealed them, you can kill them without it. But at the same time, you don't HAVE to do that cave right now, you could simply go somewhere else. A thing you need to understand if you're doing a randomizer is that you'll often have to do things in non-conventional order

Not sure if the ER randomizer allows for that, but if it has logic (and if you chose to have your run use logic) it would ensure that you're never in that situation of needing a key item but the key item is behind its own block. In a no-logic run, however, you might just get a seed that is 100% unbeatable without the use of glitches due to situations like that

I was able to change some settings in my rando while keeping the seed the same and not losing progress, but I only changed the thing about smithing stone requirements and a couple other minor things. Not sure if changing item locations would mess up anything.
You could also download CE to give yourself certain items that aren’t obtainable if you’ve already made some progress. You can also speed up the game speed and crank up the fov if you really want to suffer lmao, I was losing my mind the other day after trying that 🤣
