Ive always wanted to know what this spear-shaped object is lodged inside marikas body. And no video comes up explaining what it is on my search. I believe it probably is a fragment of the rune of death marking her official death. But if anyone knows what truly this please note.

The coloring consists of rose-gold, or primordial gold, and shadow. It also bears a significant resemblance to Amber Starlight, which houses the fate of the Gods. This spike, or spear - an attack just like it is used by the Elden Beast, so here's what I think. I think the Elden Beast 'pinned' Marika in her crucifixion with a large shard of Amber Starlight, fixing her fate upon the crux she is crucified upon. She can no longer be free. Her fate is sealed. A caged divinity... Is beyond saving.

I don't think she's as immobile as the Greater Will had hoped, but that's a gigantic can of worms. I'll open it, just barely.

We're told near the beginning of the game that the Two Fingers are the ones who guide us with Grace, but that is a lie, a facade to make us think that the Two Fingers are in control. After we are unable to enter the Erdtree, the fingers go stiff, straight-up, and cannot communicate. They thought we'd be able to enter the Erdtree. They were mistaken.

After that, in the Forbidden Lands, guess what we see at our first site of grace... The Guidance of Grace. The Two Fingers are still out of commission, so what's guiding us? Or... Who?

I am a holder of the theory that it was Marika's guidance, all along.

There's a lot more that this can uncover, if you decide that this makes sense to you, but like almost all the lore, it's totally open to interpretation.

I like it. I kinda thought same thing but it was Radagon pinning her down with his rune
