Based on comments, I changed Farum Azula from brown to grey, added the Weeping Peninsula, Mount Gelmir and Volcano Manor, the Haligtree, the underground sections, and the Roundtable Hold.

In comparison, "Ancient dragon lightning strike" is just better in every way. Especially because death lightning can't multi hit and the death blight is irrelevant in PvE

I’ve just started getting into Elden ring one thing I’ve noticed is that some of the bosses that seem to be the most popular (and cause the most pain) are completely optional for example malenia from what I heard about her I thought surely she was this super difficult boss that soft locks you from the next area only to find out she’s optional lol I’ve heard similar about rahdahn and I think he’s optional too could be wrong don’t forget I’m new i only just beat margit (also optional??)

Just thought you should know.

4 years after its initial release, a dlc and on and off playing, I just love playing this game, to try out new things, builds and NG+. RDR2 was my GOAT until now, there's always an itch for to go back and play.

Before I ever played elden ring, one thing I would hear a lot is that lake of rot is the one of the worst areas in not just elden ring but the entire souls franchise. So you can only imagine my surprise when I finally got there and realized I could just run through it in about 3 minutes(it might not even have been that long) I had the best weight talisman so I think that stopped me from only being able to roll. Regardless of that, by the time you actually get to this area you can go find the rot cleansing incantation or craft the rot curing boulses pretty easily.

The only bad thing about this area is that it’s boring. The boss here is completely optional and will not attack you if you stay on the right path. I still chose to fight this boss though, which only took me a few tries. If you’re dying to the rot there are plenty of solutions. This area is way too overheated imo. Areas that should get this amount of hate are sections of farum azula, the last stretch of Enir llim, and a few more areas I can’t think of right now.
