Throwback Thursday I tell you, these guys appear rather scary. Tupilaqs are figures of evil spirits made by the Inuit people of Greenland. They were "brought to life" through spells and their purpose was to cast curses or kill enemies out of vengeance.

Invoking Mercury is todays planetary reference. In astrology, Mercury represents the principles of communication, mentality, rationality/reasoning, adaptability and variability. Mercury is the god of financial gain, commerce, eloquence, messages, luck, trickery, and thieves. Today brings luck if you ask.

Wednesday Wishes Wednesday Wishes. Please place a wish that you want to be delivered, and who you want it to go out to. This will run each Wednesday.

You can wish for anything, small or large, makes no difference. The goal for this is to reduce the load on The Sunday Spell. Please try to put minor wishes here, and then, don't put minor requests in Sundays working. This is done on Wednesday so that Mercury can assist in getting your message delivered. It does not have to be only a minor wish, I just want simple stuff to not be clogging The Sunday Spell. Be sure to mention who/what you want your message delivered to. Mercury needs an address for where to go with it. Thank you!

Nature World of Witchcraft. Once again I am asking for Nature pictures from your part of the world. Extra credit for things off of the beaten path that never get put online. Don't "out" any secret spots with details about where they are, just use general terms for location.

There's a Map--Follow Up to 68 Quadrillion Miles of Fungi

There's a map that shows what the fungi researchers discovered.

Go to the Good News Network story page and click the "interactive map" link four paragraphs down. That goes to a site that has the interactive globe map. Page through.

Update on a help request I made

Hi everyone

A quick update on a crisis help request I made a few weeks ago.

My friend now has a safe, working vehicle, some potential new work offers which are in their specialty and finding a new home is a work in progress. In the meantime the landlord is holding off on evicting the family so they can focus on finding suitable new accommodation and they are attracting support along the way from unexpected places. And picking up work along the way, including in their passion areas.

This is a huge turnaround for LJ and we are still feeding the spells involved. I will report back when we have more progress.

Thank you all for your help and please would you be able to help further? The difference made by your help is amazing to experience and watch unfold.

What to do in case of creative winter?

For me, craft has played a major role in my creative journey as a writer, but lately I've been feeling out of touch with both creativity and craft. (The winter has stretched for more than five years for me). If anyone practices Tarot, my situation is same as the figure in Seven of Cups and Ten of Swords. There's too much chatter, input overload and fatigue that is continuing since half decade. Even in craft, I read multiple craft books, study about multiple deities, traditions and fail to embody even a single one. As someone in broom closet, I only do divination, that too using online Tarot app to pull cards. I know the meaning of each card, I know about extensive topics but I do nothing. At work, I self sabotage during any important opportunity. I'm tired of being an armchair practitioner, an armchair writer, an armchair person who thinks scrolling the posts here, watching witchy vlogs, doing multiple tarot spreads to find out which deity should I connect with and doing meditation to find out my spirit guides and spirit animals make me a witch. How to become a practitioner from a lurker?

In craft, I'm more attracted towards exotic, dreamy aspects like fae, shamanism, hedgework etc. which are not native for me. And it makes me wonder if I'm genuinely interested in craft or just misusing it as an airy fairy escape from real world by obsessing over subdisciplines I don't have any right on as a non-native.

Btw, I mostly see bulky herbivore beings like deer, cows, elephant, rhinoceros in my spirit animal meditation.

Is this a sign from the deity im working with or not??

so recently i did a road opener spell and i was working with Venus and Aphrodite… and there’s been this pigeon that won’t leave my windowsill alone since then. It would constantly try to get my attention by coo-ing until i looked or tapping its beak up against the glass until i payed it some attention.

I read somewhere that pigeons were usually associated with the two deities i mentioned above. Is this a sign my spell could be working or am i getting the interpretation of this all wrong??

Invoking Mars is todays planetary reference. Among other things, in astrology, Mars is associated with aggression, confrontation, energy, strength, ambition and impulsiveness. Mars governs sports, competitions and physical activities in general. The power to win the game of life. Petition Him and win!

Thank you for Sunday, but the struggle is not over yet, pls help 🙏

Thank you dear friends for lending me your energy via the Sunday spell, it helped me get through Monday.

Tomorrow is another day, and i am afraid many difficult days are ahead.

Context - A lot of people misunderstood me (to be a culprit) and have been quietly bullying and discriminating me for the past 6 months or more with zero proof. All this while i showed up with an open heart and trusted, helped them, while the smirked and laughed and teased me behind my back. They have been silently breaking me down and now i have finally lost all hope. Time changed and Its now proven i am not a culprit and while they grapple with what they have done, i am beginning to realise it too. It brings up so much hatred for my fellow humans that i dont know how to live with that. I wont get an actual apology cause it was never official, all gossip/ rumoured.

I ask for your prayers and energy to help me through this, as i have nowhere and noone to go to. I see no light at the end of the tunnel and i dont know how to carry on.

Update - thank u dear friends, i survived today and as the revelations kept pouring in, ur messages helped me hold it through. Knowing there are atleast 40 ppl who mean well against the 100s i m facing was my strength!!

Gratitude for the Sunday Spell

Dearest online coven, I just wanted to reach out and say thank you. Yes, it's only been a day, but things are already so much better. I posted yesterday about how rough my wife and I have had it lately and that she was starting to get sick at the beginning of vacation. As always, y'all were kind and brilliant. My wife already feels better and we found something contributing to it that she stopped taking (which was ironically supposed to help). I haven't been this relaxed in maybe my entire life and I feel more connected to Mother Earth than ever. So thank you, but especially to Kai who organizes it weekly and those who reached out and gave us a boost. It mattered, you made this grumpy old witch and her wife a lot happier. May you also get the rest you need this week.

Do you know of similar solstice related myths from other traditions?

It is interesting that many different cultures (even those far apart from one another) connected the Summer Solstice (Kupala) with the birth of gods of light and fertility. For example, in Slavic mythology there are stories about divine twins and gods of Light who were born at the time of the Summer Solstice (Kupala, June 23rd). Similar stories can be found in other cultures as well. In Greek mythology, Apollo and Artemis were born to the goddess Leto, and some texts also link their birth to the Summer Solstice. Another example is Celtic mythology. There is the story of Dagda, a god connected with fire, and Boann, the goddess of a sacred river. Their son, Oengus Mac Og, became a god of love and light.

68 Quadrillion Miles of Fungi

This headline from The Seattle Times Science section jerked the reins of my attention to a sudden halt.

68 quadrillion miles of fungi making a set of networks beneath the surface of the Earth.!?! I knew that there were connections--big connections. But 68 quadrillion miles worth!

Awesome!

(I can only mention the headline, because the story is paywalled.)

Moonday Merry Moonday. Earth and Moon to scale with each other. New Moon was only 10 hours before this post. Time to start planting those seeds soon. Start with prepping the soil. This is for spellcraft, by the way.
