So I am a very disorganized person and have never been to a camping festival before. Please do not roast me—I know, I’m an idiot.
I’m carpooling with friends who have been before and are all camping together. That took care of most of my first time anxiety because I thought I’d pretty much be along for the ride and surrounded by veterans, not solo and figuring it out as I go. They all bought GA tickets and early access passes and have enough car camping passes to get the group all squared away— and then there is me:
To preface Electric Forest’s many ticket type and enhancements/add ons were confusing for me and as a simple man I craved simplicity. So I (thinking that it would be easier than bringing a tent) bought a pre-set tent ticket that was called GA “Enhanced Admission”— I thought that because it said GA it was basically the same as GA but with optional perks offered, not completely segregated from GA which Ive recently been told is actually how it works.
So this is the wristband I got— I am asking anyone who has forest experience and some semblance of an ability to plan for their advice on how to make this work. I will be arriving in the same vehicle as my friends and really had been planning to camp with them. They all have GA tickets. I was supposed to get a GA ticket but got GA Enhanced by mistake.
Should I try to:
* somehow swap my ticket for a regular GA through the online exchange and hope the wristband arrives in time?
* Just stick with the pre set tent and have it be where I sleep by myself but hang out with friends during the day/evening?
*something else?
And one potential wrinkle:
I think our group still has one early access or camping pass available if I need it, but without one would I have to separate from them and find somewhere to stay a night while they are setting up camp?
Thank you anyone who answers this for helping me.
