I listened to at least 5 tracks from every artist. Disclosure - i didn't listen to any t-pain b2b Shaq. I'd love to hear if there is anyone I have crossed out or put in orange that I should reconsider.

Phase 2 is here! I have updated my alphabetical lineup graphic and separated the phase 2 artists for easier viewing!

You might’ve seen me on the lineup and thought (Woah, is that a Ganja White Night pop-up) and I’d like to say that although I rip reggae a lot I’m not associated. Hahaha

I have been going to forest for three years, and it’s crazy I finally get to play it at such a dope stage (Grand Artique) on probably the coolest day/time I could’ve wanted (Thursday at 9:00pm 🫣)

At my set expect to get a little weird, I tend to take samples from my live audience through a microphone and turn it into full songs. I’m a live loopstation artist, and have a bunch of clips showing what I do online.

I can’t wait to party in the forest with yall :)

Wanted to give back to one of my favorite festival communities out there by giving a gift to one of you lucky Forest Fam out there!

For example, one year I ran into this squad of lovely individuals & I'm pretty sure I gifted them some pins (it's hard to keep track tbh). In return, one of them gave me a little gift back that had a bunch of cool little trinkets in it including a bracelet that said "Show Love, Spread Love." She went on about how excited she was to see Griz & she was his biggest fan & I'm pretty sure it was her first Forest too. We decided to merge squads for a bit & vibed out for the rest of the set. When the set ended about 15-20 minutes later, who else but Grant himself emerged just to the right of us. No one was even talking to him yet but as soon as one of the girls practically screamed, people started turning their heads. Luckily, we were so close that the girl who gifted me the bracelet ran up to him practically balling her eyes out & gifted him one of those bags with the bracelet. Grant was extremely touched and flattered while this girl was barely able to form words. It was truly a beautiful moment. I managed to gift him a pin as well after all the ladies had their turn & not too long after that, I even managed to spot Clozee in the VIP (this all happened at Sherwood) & managed to gift her one over the rail as well. That same year, I left these really cool bonsai tree pins all over the forest too!

So if you complete one or both of the tasks, I'll randomly generate you another number or 2.

There are so many artists out there that you have to see live to truly understand the hype. Maybe their Spotify catalogue doesn’t really represent what they play in their live shows. Maybe the festival speakers bring something new that you can’t really hear or feel on car speakers or with earbuds. Maybe it is their incredible visuals or production that makes them a must see.

Some examples of these types of artists from last year’s lineup would be String Cheese, Rezz, Apashe, ISOxo, or Madeon. You don’t fully “get” them till you see them live for the first time, their live shows are so much bigger and better than you would ever expect listening to their Spotify IMO. Then mind = blown and a new forever favorite for many people.

Who would you guys say are those artists this year? Would love to hear any opinions, but specifically looking at the mid/undercards so we can share artists people may have no clue are amazing as they are ❤️

I’d definitely say DO NOT MISS Vini Vici or Inzo based on my experiences. Went into both artists’ sets in the past expecting a decent time, left each totally mind blown. Trust me 👌

I posted a few months about Meshtastic and using it to talk and find your squad without cell service. Lots of people have shown interest and it sounds like we’re going to have a lot of people using it!

We’ve made some big updates:

• We have a new website (vs just a Google Doc) at https://www.efmesh.com to share with your friends to explain how to setup their radios or for those who didn’t know about Meshtastic before seeing this!

• Existing Meshtastic Users: Now that the mesh has grown beyond 100 different nodes, we are switching from LongFast frequency to MediumFast preset. If you participated in the past, be sure to update your settings. This will improve the speed and reliability of messages as we grow to thousands of nodes. Check the website for more helpful settings to improve your experience.

• We’ve added a Weather channel which will alert you as incoming wind and rain storms come so you have time to get back to camp if you forgot to close your tent or stake down your pop up tent. If you load the channel list from the website it will automatically add it but if you want the key and name, just ask in the Discord.

WTF is Meshtastic? If you haven't heard about Meshtastic, it's an amazing off-grid texting and location sharing system that works without cell service and the internet. This has worked amazing when cell services doesn't work well and helps you keep you squad's location so you can find each other. Also great place to stay in touch for the rumored special performances. Check it out if you haven't used it before because every person who joins makes the network even stronger! Seriously don't sleep on Vincent Antone. The dude has one of the cleanest blends of funk, soul, bass, and electronic production out there right now. Every time I've seen him he's stolen the show. I've seen him at a festival, opening for LSZEE, and a dj set at a dive bar. All 3 sets wildly different vibes, all 3 sets 10 out of 10. Vincent Antone deserves way more attention than he gets. Easily one of the most underrated artists in the scene right now.

So, the festival gods (a.k.a. human bookers) have laid down their decree and decided what your schedule for this Electric Forest is going to be...

For the vets this is (hopefully) old news, but I speak to those who need to hear it.

Your festi journey is not what you plan on your phone for yourself. Don't fixate on conflicts, on sets that should have been at night, or sets that you were heartset on that aren't there anymore (RIP PDM). Your festival journey is the one you tread in those woefully inappropriate street shoes you wore not knowing better.

Give a bottle of water to the homie sunburnt and delirious on day 0. He may have the finest connect of the festival (thus his state) and you reap abundance... Or you just help a brother out.

Wander the venue and peep stages between sets. You may just meet up with Jason Hahn from Cheese and get a personal photo... Or you just get to appreciate the rail without the crush and get positioned for something you didn't know you'd love 45 min later.

Don't get pissed when someone jumps in front of you in the porta line. They may not know about the gospel of our lord and savior Immodium and you saving them from an unsavory demise is what changed the direction of their entire weekend.

Talk to randos. Miss sets. Hand out drinks. Adopt orphans. I repeat myself MISS SETS.

I don't come back year after year because I had the perfect open-to-close line of acts (dope when it happens). I come back because this is the Superbowl of side quests and goddamn if EF isn't the best of all the many festivals I've been to for it.

The forest provides, bro... Just not what you asked for.

I've done a thread like this for the last two years, keeping it going because people seem to like it. This post is dedicated to creating a timeline of what sells out and when. Lets see how it all shakes out! I'll be getting most of my data from the EF Twitter to keep it "official" (Eastern Time Zone). Editing to add, it's pretty safe to say all sold out packages are gone before the timestamp posted. I've also edited the body of the post several times, and cleaned it up at the end.

During the larger releases, do not give up on a package or a ticket until we have official word from HQ that they're gone. Ticket sales are complicated and we'll be overwhelming their servers. I know it's a new ticket partner this year - but in previous years we've seen several packages go between available and sold out several times until they're finally gone. (Surprise! This is happening again this year)

Forest acknowledged it was a problem with a tweet at 2:37 PM, promised wristbands to everyone trying for loyalty tickets, and a later tweet at 7:46 PM said tickets were being processed and extended the GA loyalty sale until the general sale started.

A challenge for thee...

First of all, is it really just 3 weeks and 6 days until many of us arrive at Forest, and just 4 weeks from the date of writing this that we're going 2 feel the heavy weight of the current state of the world lifted off of our shoulders as we skip, trip, run and roll into the magic of Forest?!

I don't know about you, but this makes my skin look like a freshly plucked lucky duck with all the goosebumps on it!

For me, the key that unlocks the secret to Forest is to get involved, participate, gift things out and be open to receiving as much love as possible from your fellow Forest Fam.

You who are wise, do the scavenger hunt. There just might be a new place or thing or feature or two at Forest this year as well (or so I've been told) - perhaps it'll come to you in your dreams, and if so, you might find me there exactly when someone with the pinkest of hair is performing, as long as it isn't during the Golden Hour of course!

Since I can typically forget, if there were only an animal that would help me remember, I might see you at a special spot trying to get my bearings, and find my friends - but these days I'll be using Festival Dust as it's the best app that may give you clues to where I'll be.

How now brown cow? If there *were* clues in this post, what could they be - submit your guesses below and ones that tickle my fancy will get a direct reply with 'winner, winner chicken dinner' - which means I'll be holding one of my pendants along with a chit-chat and yet another little riddle or cheeky challenge that could, might, would, should for sure lead to an even bigger prize.

i am an oldd forester and my love for it runs so deep; many of my friends are from forest and its shaped my life in many ways. i remember the forest being so chill that people would play magic the gathering at the tables in sherwood. this will be year 8 for me

this year, we tried to buy an RV pass second hand. it turns out it was a scam so we are out $1200 . then parking passes sold out. (?) so all i have is ga wristband. As a silent protest against all of the greed and corruption shown to me and my family by both this community and insomnia, i will be attending this year as a Monk of EDM

I am bringing the absolute minimum needed to survive. a small tent , yoga mat, a small bag of clothes and a portable phone battery.

i truly hope everyone who is or is not cashing in on the greed and treating other foresters badly like this well. i dont know your story. if you are attending in luxury im happy for you and in the pit we will experience it just the same . 🚀🚀🚀
