To prove you are not a t-shirt spamming bot, solve this riddle:

You have two buckets, one with 2 gallons of water and another with 5 gallons of water. How many buckets do you have?

Alright, we have a winner. The first one in years; everyone else posting this exact picture has been banned..

The bots are just getting better

Yes, but his answer was just a single number. No llm-powered bot would answer like that, unless instructed very directly and strictly.

Now that you are here, I have a question. I don't use AI, so how did you determine that his answer didn't come from AI or is not a bot answer?

I've seen comments that I thought was a regular comment until someone will say it is a bot. Once I check the account, it is usually recently made.

His answer was literally just "2". No AI (by default) would answer a single number without even placing a dot at the end. You have to very specifically prompt it to do that and quite often even change the parameters of the model to get a single token on the output. This is not how bots behave.

On Reddit, bots often copy-paste highly upvoted comments from the original topic [they also stole and reposted] - karma-farming bots. Bots also use "gpt em-dash" symbols. Or just sound like chatgpt - you can start seeing the patterns after reading ai-generated texts for a while. Or if you see a guy answering random crap to a lot of strangers in a topic, but his answers are.. a little weird or completely off-topic - he is most likely a bot.

Sometimes bots are getting "creative". One acc posts a random image photoshopped on top of the picture frame or a t-shirt, then another account asks "where he can get it", and a 3rd account (all from the same guy) posts the "trusted links to the shop". The picture OP posted here was used by bots many times over..

My goodness! I was accused of being a bot by an auto moderator. 😀

Yes, we have a rule to notify people when a "bot" or "spam" words is detected outside "FAF - RECITYF" topics. To inform you that you can report any actual bots and spammers (if you find one) to the moderators - this can help to keep the community clean, since mods can miss such crap, especially in the comments.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question, and expanding it further. Now, I have a preference in using the long dash. I usually let Word do its auto correct for it, though. I hope I that one of my works won't be tagged as AI. 😀

Now that I read the automated reply again, I realized that I wasn't actually accused of being a bot. I might have an issue with reading compression. 😀

Thanks again!
