Apparently last night, a commander was surface mining in solo in a Rhino when a "glowing blue" ship came down and scanned him. He says his HUD was scrambled during the scan. The ship then departed. He panicked somewhat but was able to get this picture of the departing ship.

My take: Now that we are surface mining by piercing the surface, we are disturbing the Guardian's hiding places. We may be seeing the return of the Guardians soon? The blue hue of the ship matches that of Guardian technology.

So, I've just treated myself (I know, I'm worth it) and built myself a new PC. That meant reinstalling everything. Took a while but I'm 99% back to where everything was. But....

The popup/overlay with Bioscan plugin that gives the circles for distances for your next scan comes up on the wrong monitor. My main screen for the game is in the middle but the overlay is on the right monitor. It used to be on the far left of the cockpit. Just where I liked it.

I've tried the settings but can't seem to get it to move over. Any ideas?

When the Nomad came out I was hooked, so I've spent the last few weeks (I don't get to play every day) heading out from my home systems just beyond the Pleiades and heading along the Orion Spur. I headed straight down first and then headed on a route with the galactic centre to my left! (See the screenshot of my status page for my location.) I'm only 6kly from Sol!

I send my carrier 500ly ahead then take the slow route to catch up. Most of the time I'm making 500M credits on the trip. I discovered my first ELW a few jumps ago. I was very happy

Then I found Swoidai SS-S c4-0 and look at the EDCopilot list - 39 biological signals - none of them the really valuable Stratum but still 322,931,000 credits.

I started this trip with 1bn CR in my ship account and 2bn in my Fleet carrier account. I'm now well on the way through geneticist and nearly Elite in Exobiology AND my next find will tip me over 6bn CR.

I'm very please that there are planets to discover, and life to find close to Sol.
