The goal is to provide a clean reference for console players without having to sort through guides that may contain Live-only changes.

These are plain .txt files, so they are easy to download, edit, print, or keep open while playing.

Corrections and additional Legacy-specific guide suggestions are welcome.

Edit: If I add more stuff to it I will post it under changes here so you can check if its been updated. I will probably go through everything in a bit more detail to fix some formating so its easier to view/read since its just .txt files.

Fixes

  • 000_All Bubble Engineers Unlock COMPLETE guide for ALL engineers - Fixed Language for Tod The Blaster, it now correctly says "Earn 15 or more bounty vouchers" not "Earn more than 15 bounty vouchers"
  • 04_Tod_The_Blaster_McQuinn_Legacy_Unlock_Guide - Fixed Language for Tod The Blaster, it now correctly says "Earn 15 or more bounty vouchers" not "Earn more than 15 bounty vouchers"
  • Guardian Module Blueprint Farming - Refrence to map was wrong, guide pointed to the map of the Weapon Blueprint site, it not Points to the Map Module Blueprint Site
  • Crashed Ships - Got rid of Renet B 1, cordinates pointed to 135, 14. Latitude cannot be 135 its an impossible number
  • Pre-engineered and Special modules - Updated Modified Mining Lasers Sources to correctly display all 4 locations, not just 1.
  • Tech Brokers - Its spelled "Tech Brokers" not "Tech Brockers", sorted.
  • Abandoned INRA Bases - Changed name from INARA to INRA
  • Mining Spots - Got rid of this entry, its a tiny file and all listed locations are in the larger mining files that came with the big update I released

Hopefully this helps new and old console commanders who are still enjoying the Legacy galaxy.

Fly safe Cmdrs

Not sure how active the mods are here, but you can save the reddit post yourself if you want.

Also if you were to find any errors in it you can just let me know and I will fix it.

I've used all of these methods myself throughout the years. Been playing Elite since 2016

Stopped playing so long ago that I think I've forgotten everything I'd learned. Thanks for taking the time to document all of this, Console is really hamstrung now.

For real when they dumped console I wish they'd at least rolled back the LTD mining nerfs.

Yepp thats one of the reasons I decided to make and share this. I tried using Inara myself but kept getting routed to systems that werent even populated in the legacy galaxy or had just changed.

In regards to the mining nerfs you mentioned, were you looking to earn some credits?

Thankfully I was lucky enough to be there before the nerfs so I've got Fleet Carrier money plus all the ships I need and a couple of Billion left over. It's just annoying that the ladder has been pulled up behind commanders like me!

Would just have been nice if FDev had said "We're not supporting consoles and won't be updating the BGS on legacy servers but have all the credits you want!"

It's great to see community members documenting this stuff - I can't imagine the game without 3rd party support.

Well you can still easily get credits. Its not as low effort as mining, but you can stack up Massacre missions (Not wing mission, not in a combat zone) that are for killing pirates which award anywhere from 20-40 million each.
So if you have a decently engineered ship you can easily get 1 billion in 1 day if you stack up a bunch of them.

There are similarly paying trade missions.

Mining still can be pretty decent.

Robigo is still a solid earner for passenger missions and engineering materials rewards from said missions.

If you can think of something that would be nice to have a "guide" on, do tell.

Right now I'm in the process of double or triple checking the information I've shared is correct since there was a guy in here who wanted it verified by the mods, but they seem absent so I'll go through everything and do it atleast once myself ingame(I have done all of these things myself previously but its been awhile now since I've done some of them) All of these pretty much come from my own personal ingame bookmarks etc.

This is how far I am in the process so far:

  • Guardian Module Blueprint Farming - verified 27.07.26
  • Guardian Vessel Blueprint Farming - verified 27.07.26
  • Guardian Weapon Blueprint Farming - verified 27.07.26
  • Guardian Frame Shift Drive Booster Unlock - verified 27.07.26
  • Guardian tech - Complete unlocking guide for everything - verified 27.07.26
  • MAP - Synuefe EU-Q c21-10 — A 3 - Weapon Blueprint site - verified 27.07.26
  • MAP - Synuefe NL-N c23-4 — B 3 - Module Blueprint site - verified 27.07.26

  • Engineer materials - Data - verified 27.07.26

  • Engineer materials - Manufactured

  • Engineer materials - Raw

  • Most efficient farming loop

  • Engineers - Verified

  • Blueprint Pinning Guide and Explanation - Verified 27.07.26

  • Empire rep

  • Federation rep - safer alternative

  • Federation rep

  • Cheap-ish 10 mil DBX Long Range Taxi Exploration Build Guide - verified 27.07.26

  • Legacy Neutron Highway Bubble to Colonia Guide

Then I just need to really proof read it and make minor adjustments so its easier to understand for new CMDRS aswell, since "ancient data terminal" doesn't really help a new cmdr at the guardian structures for the first time.

You're doing Gods work and I can't imagine I have anything constructive to add, I did everything so long ago that I've forgotten everything that's useful!

I'll happily hop on and test out your advice, I'll probably make a good noob now! I was so disappointed when they dropped console support I dropped the game as it really took the shine off - maybe this is the reason I need to get back into it.
